Each year, an estimated 1,000–1,500 people in the U.S. lose their lives to lupus — a chronic autoimmune disease that affects millions more in countless ways.

One lesser-known yet painful symptom many lupus warriors face is severe dry eyes. The eyes may become red, irritated, and feel like they’re burning or filled with grit—as if there’s sand or dirt trapped inside. This constant discomfort is just one example of the daily battles they endure.

Today, take a moment to reach out and show love.
If you know someone living with lupus, give them an extra hug or kind word. Let them know they’re seen, supported, and never alone.
