One of the biggest misconceptions about permanent makeup is that it’s purely artistic.

What does a PowderBrow appointment at Michel Design Studio actually look like?🧐🧐

If you’ve ever wondered what happens from the moment you walk through our doors until you leave with your new brows, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the entire experience.

1️⃣: Welcome & Consultation

Once you arrive, we’ll check you in, verify your information, and review your completed health questionnaire together. We’ll discuss your medical history, current medications, previous beauty services, skin type, lifestyle, and your brow goals to make sure Powder Brows are the right fit for you.

2️⃣: Brow Mapping📐

This is the most important—and often the longest—part of the appointment.

Using our signature string mapping technique, we design a brow shape that complements your facial features while respecting your natural brow growth. This is a collaborative process. We’ll make adjustments together until you absolutely love the shape.

Nothing moves forward until you approve your brows.

3️⃣: The PowderBrow Procedure

Once your shape is approved, we begin the procedure using a digital PMU machine to gently implant pigment into the skin.

Instead of harsh lines, thousands of tiny pigment pixels are layered to create the soft, airy, makeup-inspired finish that Powder Brows are known for.

4️⃣: The Reveal🪞

You finally get to see your new brows for the first time. Watching my clients light up when they look in the mirror never gets old.

5️⃣: Healing & Aftercare

Before you leave, we’ll walk through your healing timeline, answer every question you have, and send you home with a complete aftercare kit and detailed instructions to help you achieve the best healed results.

6️⃣: Your Initial Touch-Up💃🏼

Approximately 4–8 weeks later, you’ll return for your initial touch-up appointment. At this visit, we’ll perfect the shape, reinforce the pigment where needed, and complete your Powder Brow transformation.

Every appointment is designed to be thoughtful, collaborative, and customized to you—because beautiful brows start long before the pigment ever touches the skin.
