Ari mentioned she’s been dealing with migraines and some serious scalp tension while I was cutting her hair yesterday.
I asked if she'd ever had her hair cracked?

The audio is terrible. The cracks, however, are VERY real. 💥

We got two good ones and I swear the second one made my soul leave my body. 😳🤢

Did it help? Who knows.
Was it weirdly satisfying? Absolutely.
Will “Scalp Popping” be added to our service menu?

There are some people who walk through the doors of Hair Studio and very quickly work their way so deeply into our hearts that it feels like they’ve been here a lifetime. Taryn is absolutely one of those people. 💗

If you were in last night and wondered why the receptionist was teary-eyed, this is it. All the feels. All the tears. All the love.

Taryn graduated this spring with her Master’s in Social Work and is heading off to begin an amazing new chapter as a social worker at Sun Prairie East. We couldn’t be more proud of this incredible young woman and the beautiful soul she is.

She has brought so much kindness, laughter, compassion and heart to our salon, and I have no doubt she’s going to touch so many lives just as she has touched ours.

Thankfully, this isn’t a complete goodbye. We’re keeping her on as our backup receptionist, so we’ll still get to call upon her when we need her. 😉 And honestly, we’re not letting her get away that easily.

Taryn, we love you, girl! ❤️ We are SO proud of you and cannot wait to watch all the amazing things you’re going to do.

Good luck on this big, beautiful new adventure. We know you’re going to be incredible. ✨

Madison really is a small town.❤️

Last week, Vivian happened to have lunch with our former nail technician, Jennifer. This week, I ran into her completely by chance!

Jennifer worked at Hair Studio back in the '90s and spent the final chapter of her nail career with us—far too briefly. I'm so grateful I got to know her. She's an absolute delight, and I still wish she were sitting at the nail table making everyone smile.

Vivian is up north enjoying her summer getaway, so of course we had to let her know that we crossed paths.

Moments like these remind me what business ownership is really about. Yes, it's about the services we provide, but even more, it's about the genuine connections, lasting friendships, and wonderful people we meet along the way. Those relationships are the best part of the journey. 💕
