What happens before the install?
🌸 What is protein overload?
Too much protein on the hair and not enough moisture can make curls feel hard, dry, stiff, brittle, or straw-like. Especially with fine hair, which tends to be protein sensitive.
🌸 Products that commonly cause it
Protein heavy shampoos, conditioners, masks, leave-ins, mousses, gels, and “repair” treatments …especially ones with ingredients like keratin, collagen, rice protein, wheat protein, silk protein, or amino acids.
🌸 Signs you may have protein overload
Hair feels rough, crunchy, tangled easily, snaps instead of stretches, loses softness, or looks dull even after moisturizing.
🌸 How to fix it
Take a break from protein products, use deep moisturizing conditioners, focus on hydration, clarify buildup if needed, and bring moisture/protein balance back slowly.

However, We realize how much convenience and affordability matter for the girlies and we are happy to bring our Pre-Made wig collection to you through .moda , a boutique owned by myself and my girl Elesia Jones We are happy to announce that we will have 6x6 HD Lace Closure Wigs with pre-bleached knots and 13x6 HD frontal wigs with the option to have pre-bleached knots. All of our laces are HD, never transparent. Our hair is quality and is not full of fillers. Plus the larger lace sizes allow for more styling versatility. So watch out for the launch.
