Hi, I’m Michelle. I’m a licensed cosmetologist and I am certified in Japanese-inspired head spas. Located in Madisonville, KY.
As a skin therapist, I specialize in facials & love helping others relax, refresh, & glow from the inside out.

This morning, Lindsey and I got to team up to give this sweet client a little extra TLC after a stressful few weeks.
While she received her IV drip therapy with Lindsey—designed to support hydration and replenish essential vitamins and nutrients—she was also able to completely relax with a head spa treatment with me. 💆🏼♀️✨
IV therapy + scalp massage + warm water therapy + steam + a quiet room to simply REST… yes, please. 🙌🏼
By the time she left The Vale, she was relaxed, refreshed, and feeling SO much better than when she walked through the door—and that’s exactly what we want for our clients. 🤍
One appointment. Two providers. A whole lot of self-care.
And yes… you can absolutely receive your IV drip while enjoying your head spa. 💧✨

Kids will humble you REAL FAST. 💨😂
Today is my day off from work, and per usual, I had a million errands to run and things to do.
One of those errands was running by the girls’ school to drop off some broken down cardboard boxes they’re going to use to build the maze for the fall festival. I was at the far end of the gym carrying in boxes, wearing a tee shirt and a ball cap. I noticed Marley’s class was eating lunch and all the kids turned and looked my way. I waved at Marley, dropped off the boxes, and then left.
Fast forward to this afternoon…
The girls get home from school and Marley says:
“Mama! There was a GARBAGE GIRL at school today and she looked like you! She had on that SAME shirt! And she even had on a hat too!”
I just sat there. Excuse me??? 😳🤣😆😂
I said, “Who was it?”
Marley: “The garbage girl! She was helping Ms. Vickie. That was her name… Garbage Girl!!!! That’s what everyone said.”
I said, “WHO said she was the garbage girl?!”
“All the kids. But not my teacher.”
😂😂😂
I looked at her and said, “Marley, honey… THAT WAS ME.”
Her eyes got huge.
“WHAT?! REALLY?! 😱 OMG! I CAN’T WAIT TO TELL MY FRIENDS TOMORROW THAT THAT WAS MY MOMMY, THE GARBAGE GIRL!”
So anyway…
Apparently I own a spa five days a week and moonlight as Garbage Girl on my days off. 🗑️🦸♀️😂
And the best part? My own child looked directly at me, watched me wave at her, and still thought, Yep. That’s the garbage lady.
Kids. Will. Humble. You. 😂
EDIT TO ADD: Absolutely NO offense intended toward custodians, janitors, or anyone who works incredibly hard keeping our schools and buildings clean! ❤️ The funny part was NOT that Marley thought I was a custodian, it was that she very confidently informed me my official job title was “GARBAGE GIRL.” 🤣🤣 Not custodian. Not janitor. Garbage. Girl. And apparently the whole kindergarten lunch table had agreed on it. 💀😂

The Elite Head Spa Experience
A day in my life as a small business + spa owner… while still learning that “taking it easy” is apparently not my specialty. 😂🤍
Before work, Waverley and I had a few errands to run, then I dropped her off at GaGa’s for the day and headed to The Vale. ✨
On the books: a facial + dermaplane, TWO Premiere Head Spas, and a Brazilian wax. 🧖🏼♀️
I’m still recovering from surgery, still pretty swollen, and still at the stage where some of my clothes don’t even fit yet. My body is definitely reminding me that just because I can do more doesn’t necessarily mean I should.
So I’m working, doing what I love, and trying really hard to listen when my body says, “Okay girl… that’s enough for today.” 😂
One day at a time. 🤍

A little day in the life at The Vale 🤎
Five clients on the books, new retail to unbox and put out, messages to answer, laundry to do, rooms to reset… and about 47 other things I thought I needed to accomplish. 😂
The only difference is that I’m still just three weeks post-op from my abdominal wall reconstruction, so I’m having to learn something that does NOT come naturally to me: slowing down. 🫠
Owning a small business means there is always something else that could be done, but I’m reminding myself that it doesn’t all have to happen today. I can take care of my clients, enjoy watching The Vale continue to grow, AND give my body the time it needs to heal. 🤎
One day at a time. And honestly? It was a pretty good day. 🥹✨
Our new under-eye masks just landed at The Vale, and they’re the easiest little way to make an ordinary day feel a little more fun. Throw them on while you’re folding laundry, washing dishes, cooking supper, watching a movie… or doing absolutely nothing. 💁♀️
