I physically, in my BONES, do not know how to do “no-makeup makeup.”

I swear I start with the intention of keeping it simple and somehow… we end up here.

As a soft-to-full glam bridal makeup artist, my brain just naturally wants to give you the coverage, the blush, the lashes, the defined lip, the skin… ALL of it.

Now, if you’re my bride and you want something more natural or less makeup-heavy, of course we’re going to find our happy medium. That’s exactly what your bridal trial is for. We can find that sweet spot where your makeup still feels soft, polished, bridal and like YOU without going full glam.

But if your dream wedding makeup is two dots of concealer, a little blush and “I basically want to look like I’m wearing nothing”…

A lot of girls say, “I just want natural makeup.”

And sometimes? You genuinely do.

But sometimes I think “natural” is coming from a fear of what too much makeup has looked like in the past.

The lashes that feel like they’re about to fly away.
The harsh contour.
The heavy layers.
The moment you look in the mirror and think, “Wait… who is that?”

So naturally, you start playing it safe.

And you might actually look BETTER with a little more drama than you ever thought you would.

That doesn’t mean natural makeup is wrong. And it definitely doesn’t mean every bride needs full glam.

It means you deserve to actually explore your options before deciding what your wedding-day makeup should look like.

That’s what your trial is for.

Try the natural look. Try the lashes. Add the drama. Brighten the eyes. Push the glam a little further than your comfort zone.

Because sometimes the look you were so sure you didn’t want ends up being the one where you look in the mirror and go:

“Oh. THAT’S my bridal makeup.”

Soft glam is my signature, but my favorite part of being a makeup artist is creating a look that actually fits you.

Whether your dream bridal look is natural, soft glam, or full glam… whether you have fair skin, deep skin, freckles, olive undertones, or you’re a redhead… your makeup should never feel like you’re trying to fit into your artist’s style.

It should feel like you.

The goal has never been to create the same bride over and over again. It’s to create your version of bridal glam.

While I absolutely love a soft glam and my brand is all about being recognizably you, just elevated, don’t let that fool you… I live for a full glam moment too.

This bride told me she hadn’t worn makeup since 2016, but for her wedding day she wanted to go all in. My goal wasn’t to make her look like someone else. It was to create a glamorous version of her that still felt beautiful, confident, and bridal.

I think we understood the assignment.
