Milky Way Soapery

I am experimenting with something new. Recently, I have noticed my hair shedding more than normal, so I decided to try my hand at making shampoo and conditioner bars. These are soap free with an ingredient list much shorter than anything you can buy in the store. I have also stocked up and essential oils that have been shown to help with scalp health and hair growth.

I was able to use these this morning in the shower and I must say, so far I find these to be very promising, my hair is silky smooth.

I love how this soap turned out. This will be ready for sale in 4-6 weeks. Aren’t they beautiful?!

And the cut! For the most part this Bourbon Street turned out perfectly, but in some places it didn’t matter how hard we tried to pound the air bubbles out, as seen above. It has a sort of geode appeal to it that is beautiful though! The other pictures include restocks of Lemon Patchouli, Black Tie Affair, and a new version of my Birthday Suit. This one is a Castile soap, perfect for sensitive skin! ✌🏻

This is a prime example (after much clean up) of what happens when a fragrance oil misbehaves. This is a Bourbon Street restock and the fragrance is not supposed to accelerate. Unfortunately, that was just not the case here. Ava and I had to enlist Eric’s help to quickly mix the colors in and together. By the time the colors were mixed enough, it was so set up that we just had to spoon it in to the molds. Quite messy indeed trying to keep hurrying along. It’s definitely not one of my cleaner, more put together designs, but as such with life, we do the best we can with what we have and keep moving forward ✌🏻
