Unbeknownst, some sort of beauty product containing one or more of the below ingredients got onto the extension hair.

If you wear blonde, gray, silver, or light-colored hair extensions avoid these ingredients in your hair and beauty products.

Ingredients to avoid:

Avobenzone (Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane)

Octocrylene

Oxybenzone

Homosalate

Octinoxate

These gredients are found in,
* Sunscreens
* Morning daily lmoisturizers with SPF 15 to 30
• Foundations and tinted moisturizers
• Makeup primers
• Leave-in hair products with UV protection

When these ingredients come into contact with extension hair, they can cause unwanted pink, peach, orange, or brassy discoloration that can be difficult—or sometimes impossible—to remove.
Before applying any product near your extensions, check the ingredient list for these UV filters.

Be aware that,

Daily Face Moisturizers: Many morning lotions contain built-in SPF 15 to 30.

Anti-Aging Creams: Sun protection is frequently added to daytime wrinkle creams.

Lip Balms: Lip treatments with SPF use these chemical filters to prevent sunburned lips.

Setting Sprays & Makeup: Foundations, BB creams, and makeup setting sprays with UV protection.

Body Lotions: Everyday body moisturizers that promise sun protection or skin-brightening benefits.

Hair Protection Sprays: Leave-in conditioners or mists designed to protect hair from sun fading.

✅️A great alternative is to choose a mineral sunscreen that uses
*Zinc Oxide and/or
*Titanium Dioxide as the active ingredients.
You'll still get excellent sun protection while helping to preserve the beautiful color of your extensions.

Going through my own hair loss journey, I discovered that minoxidil truly works.
