• Shave right before your appointment — It makes waxing less effective and can irritate skin.
• Get a spray tan right before — The wax can lift or streak your tan.
• Tan in a bed or the sun for 24 hours before/after — Freshly waxed skin is extra sensitive to UV.
• Swim (especially in lakes or pools) for 24 hours — Chlorine + bacteria + open pores = higher risk of irritation or infection.

✅ DO:
• Schedule your wax at least 24 hours before a big event — Gives skin time to calm down and look its best.
• Exfoliate 2–3 times a week — Removes dead skin so wax grabs hair, not skin.
• Stay hydrated & moisturized — Happy, hydrated skin = better waxing results and less discomfort.
• Rebook every 2–6 weeks (depending on the area) — Consistency = finer, slower regrowth over time.

🤷🏼‍♀️How can you maximize your leg wax?
1. Let it grow! If you aren’t waxing regularly, the hairs need to be long enough to grab the hair shaft and pull it from the root. Typically about 2-3 weeks works best if it’s your first wax.
2. Exfoliate the night before your wax with something like a sugar scrub, dry brush, or even an exfoliating glove. This helps reduce dead skin build up that blocks the hair from being removed efficiently.
3. Don’t use moisturizers like lotions or body oils right before your wax! Make sure your skin has a few hours to absorb the hydration before coming in.
4. Last but not least, prebook your wax! Especially if you have a big event coming up. Ideally being waxed at least 24 hours beforehand is best 🥳
