𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Your questions 𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥. 👀 CPL is essentially a 5 volume developer. Think deposit-only with minimal lift. It is very similar to our Keratint (zero-lift) developer, but using CPL with cream color has that value of ammonia that slightly bumps the natural level, so some stylists prefer it for intensity and vibrancy.

Don't have Keratint on hand? You can use our permanent color with CPL for a toner. 🙌 We offer 2 options to pick from - one with a warmer base and another with a blue base. Mix our color with the 5 volume developer and let it vaporize for 15 minutes before application.

With a color correction, let’s say you need to lift out a little bit of undertone or residual color midshaft to the ends, like color fade out or a toner that grew out to an unwanted color. Lightener isn’t an option due to porosity. So, this is where CPL is the perfect tool mixed with cream color to gently lift out that unwanted cast or tone.

Oh, and you can also mix CPL with lightener for slight lift as a less-aggressive option! ✨

The “glass hair” trend is having a major moment right now. ✨ Ultra-reflective shine. Sleek finishes. Mirror-like results. But as this trend grows, it’s worth asking: Is all “glass hair” actually healthy hair… or are we sometimes just seeing the illusion of health? 👀

A lot of products can create temporary shine by coating the hair shaft with silicones and waxes, which creates heavy buildup. The hair looks glossy, but underneath it may still be dehydrated, over-processed, porous, or fragile.

True shine isn’t applied, it’s a reflection of the hair’s condition.

When hair is truly healthy, the cuticle lays flatter and reflects light more evenly. That kind of luminosity typically comes from a combination of:

- balanced moisture levels
- healthy color practices
- ingredient quality
- cuticle integrity
- protein/moisture balance

So how do we suggest both instant radiance and long-term hair health and manageability?

Keratint Clear: Did someone say glazed donut?
Shine+ Serum and Gloss Mist: Ginkgo helps instantly hydrate and revive damaged or over-processed hair to reduce frizz and flyaways while improving softness and shine. 💚 Avocado Oil delivers moisture-rich lipids that help smooth the hair fiber and create a luminous, glossy finish without leaving the hair feeling heavy or coated. 🥑

For us, i’s not just perception. It’s actually healthy hair. 👀

The salon is where stylists create, connect, and bring visions to life. But it can also be a space where certain expectations feel constant, especially behind the chair.

Keeping the conversation flowing.
Making steady eye contact.
Thinking on the spot.
Holding high energy all day.

These are often treated as unspoken markers of professionalism in the hair industry. But not every stylist experiences or navigates these expectations in the same way.

For some stylists, meeting these norms can take extra, often unseen effort.
At times, that may mean adjusting how they naturally communicate or show up in order to align with what’s expected.

But professionalism isn’t one specific personality type.
It’s not one tone of voice, one pace, or one way of connecting.
Every stylist brings something different to the chair.

Some are outgoing and expressive.
Some are calm and observant.
Some take time to process before responding.
Some connect most through precision, intention, and craft.
And that variety is what makes this industry so strong.

So if your way of showing up as a stylist looks different, lean into it.
Because clients aren’t just looking for a stylist, they’re looking for their stylist.
