2020 → 2026 🤎

I think every esthetician has a story behind why they chose this career, and mine started long before I ever opened the doors to A Hidden Gem.

I struggled with cystic acne myself, and I know firsthand how much your skin can affect the way you see yourself. That experience is a huge part of what led me to esthetics, not because I wanted to help people have “perfect” skin, but because I wanted to help people feel confident and comfortable in the skin they’re already in.

I graduated from Aveda in 2019, became a licensed esthetician, and shortly after took a chance on myself and opened A Hidden Gem. I was young, still figuring out who I was as an esthetician and business owner, and had absolutely no idea where this little dream would take me.

Fast forward to 2026, and so much has changed. My knowledge has grown, my treatments have evolved, and A Hidden Gem has grown right alongside me. But the heart behind it has stayed the same.

I still get to help people feel better about their skin. I still get excited when a client starts seeing the progress we've worked toward together. And I still believe skincare is about so much more than what you see in the mirror.

Six years, a whole lot of learning, and quite the glow-up later… I’m really proud of the esthetician, and person, that little girl in the first picture grew into. 🥹🤎

And I have a feeling we’re just getting started.
