Contrary to what you might think, brightness isn’t achieved by packing in a million highlights. Light needs dark to contrast against. The hair that’s left out of the foil is equally as important as what’s in it. When you have both light and dark, they work together to create not only dimension and depth, but also to take on a impactful contrast for true pops of light. 💡

What makes a hairstylist stand out when you’re in a huge sea full of them? Social media can sometimes be overwhelming to sort through with so many choices. The answer isn’t always clear right away so I can give you some ideas on what to look for.

Her portfolio is similar to the inspos you’ve saved. Dive in deeper than just liking the pictures. Are you noticing her work has tones, styles, blends, haircuts etc that you want?

There’s a vibe without having ever met that you’d definitely be friends. Trust would come easy.

You see answers to questions for things you had been struggling with because she strives to help educate her clients in AND out of the salon.

If you don’t see a match of what you’re looking for in one particular stylist, that okay! They may not be the match for you! If you’re unsure? Reach out! POV : You’re scared of lowlights…

Lowlights aren’t meant to be scary, and they don’t have to make your hair look darker. If your hair is already light naturally, sometimes continuing to lighten it leaves you feeling like it never gets light enough. Adding lowlights can definitely sound counter intuitive to what you’d think, but it actually gives your highlights some extra depth to contrast against. No need to fear lowlights.
