Country Crone Apothecary

Sometimes it's the tedious and the mundane that brings me the most joy. The ease of it all. When the wild roses start their show, timing is everything. Nature waits for no one. A year's worth of Rose to bless my life (and my tea 😜). There's much magic in the mundane!

Oh how I 😍LOVE😍 this season with all of the precious gifts the land brings us!

Did YOU know 🧠 that both dandelion and violet are

💢✊️*POWERHOUSES*✊️💢

When it comes to provided fresh vitamins and minerals to support our bodies and aiding the cleansing of the lymphatic system?

They know just when to show up to help us clear out the stagnation of the dark season both in our minds and bodies.

I LOVE making an infusion of dandelion and violet each day to WAKE up both my body and my mind. This combination also offers gentle digestive support so the body can eliminate waste 💩 safely and effectively.
💫 GET THAT GUCK OUT!!!!💫

Just grab a small handful of flowers 🌼 (dandelion greens are an excellent digestive butter as well) that are at their best (I like to grab a few nettles too if they're nearby), give them a good rinse and set aside. Before I sit down for the night I boil water 💧, pack my 🪴 material in the jar and pour the boiled water over it. I place the cap and go to bed. In the morning I have a lovely and bright infusion to support my body throughout the day.

Just THINK of how magical it is that our land provides THIS for US, freely and without demands just when our bodies need ot the most. Not just us but our insect🐜 and animal🦌 friends too.

If that's not magic, I don't know what is. 🤷‍♀️

Every day can be earth day if you just take a gander every once and awhile.

Yes!!! Because the land provides and at the end of the day, that's what matters. 🎋🌳

Long before the groundhog, the Cailleach made her final cry in preparation to turn over the reigns from the crone of winter to the maiden of spring, Brigid. The circle will start again. ❤️

Can't wait to celebrate and welcome the quiet stirring of spring! 😍

Who was St. Brigid and why is she inspiring many 1,500 years after her death? Devotees draw inspiration from Brigid the saint — and from Brigid the ancient pagan goddess, whose name and attributes she shares.

The snow is falling and reminds me of what the winter has to offer in all of its quiet beauty. The sun will return this week bringing us the warmth we crave this time of year. And you can bet you'll find me frolicking. 😍
