Mia’s Cosmetology Journey

My mom came in to get her hair transformed for fall! She had a balayage that had been growing out for 9 months, but it was very blond on the ends and she had almost no dimension. So we decided to add in some dark lowlights to bring the dimension down to the bottom, and use a highlight technique called “foiliage” to bring her blond back up to the roots with a low maintenance grow out! She won’t have to come back for color maintenance for another 3+ months unless she wants a change!

I had the honor to do my Nana’s hair today for my color test out! Thank you so much for letting me practice on you. The color turned out beautiful, and it was such a fun transformation.

So excited to announce that my group won the editorial competition at school!

The premise of the competition was to get into a group and decide who would be the models, and who would be the makeup and hair artists. Sam and Noah modeled our neon-futuristic looks perfectly! Marisa and I tag-teamed on hair and makeup.

I was able to do Sam’s makeup and help with her hair. I’m so happy with how the looks turned out and the overall talent within the modeling and photography!

Got to cut my little sister’s hair today. I’m super happy with how cute it turned out! By the words of Ella, “it’s soooo cute!”

We decided to freshen up my sister’s vibrant hair color yesterday. I foiled in two shades of dusty maroon to give it some dimension. It turned out great and I can’t wait to keep learning more color techniques!
