I was out troubleshooting this system and forgot to leave the pv switch on. Realized it on my drive home Saturday and decided to just leave it as it has 100kwh of storage so I wasn't going to fret over it. Looks like it'd go about 2 weeks without a charge at this rate, would plummet with a cold snap as the heat pump fired on to keep the trailer at 65 though.

Have a few more of these QCells 395w pallets than I need in the warehouse. Doing $250 off each pallet of 29pcs if anyone wants some good panels. We still have a few days left where we could get delivery done before the end of the year. They are new panels but sat outside for a bit so there is some cardboard residue on most. We've re-stacked on edge for shipping as we've found that to end up with the least amount of damage in transit.

The power I get (actual / rated) from my solar array when it's foggy here on a chilly Saturday morning in Mansfield, TX. These 12 panels are 395w mono-facial on the first row and 390w bi facial on the back two rows.

The bi facial panels must be too close to the ground for any bi-facial gain, which is too bad.

Ya know when the lead acid battery in the forklift has given up it’s amazing how a battery it took an hour to put together can step in and save the day. So far haven’t melted the jumper cables but it’ll get a more permanent setup…when things calm down. It’s out at the new building-in-progress getting charged with a solar panel for when we need it.

I’m thinking used ballasted flat roof racking could work great for inexpensive ground mounts. These don’t have the ballast setup since I like living on the edge.

These bulkhead mc4 connectors on my SMA 50kw inverters are quite easy to break. Anyone found a good place for name brand bulkhead mc4’s? I looked up this specific one and it seemed like I had to buy 1000 of them.

Forgot to charge the forklift overnight. The blessing is suddenly three truckloads of solar panels showing up to get unloaded. Ran the lithium booster pack to zero but we got the job done!

Now we’ve got 395w qcell solar panels available at $98/pc. Brand new they just got repackaged after not being used for a job.

Playing around with AI to create myself a dashboard for the batteries in my power trailer. They occasionally turn off so I was setting up some logging to see if I can tell why. I suspect the two top batteries having relatively low isolation resistance is an issue. They do seem to do better if I keep the ac running (lower humidity?).

This one always gets me, the dip switch being down on an EG4 Wall mount battery means it is on? Am I just looking at it wrong?

Working on a new space to store all the solar goodies. Excited to cover the roof with solar panels! This place will be off grid of course.
