🎨 Local Art at L.A. Hair Salon + Spa

If you’ve noticed the beautiful artwork throughout the salon, I’d love to introduce you to the artist behind it — Ohio artist Suzie Hape.

Suzie is a self-taught artist whose creative background includes makeup artistry, interior décor, fashion, and shop ownership. She began creating art in 2011, first working in soft pastels and later moving into acrylics, where she fell in love with working with a palette knife.

Her work is colorful, expressive, textured, and a little unexpected — a style she calls “Raw Whimsy.” Much of it is inspired by nature, imagination, beauty, and the creative family that surrounded her growing up.

Suzie’s work has been shown and sold throughout central Ohio, including a piece featured in the Columbus Parade of Homes, and her artwork is now in collections across the country.

We’re very happy to have Suzie’s original artwork displayed and available for purchase right here at L.A. Hair Salon + Spa.

Advance color class on Monday with our seasoned team. We dove into Aveda's new HiLift blonding powder and explored the depth and richness of reds and coppers. This is what continuing education looks like -- staying current, learning together and constantly working on our craft.

Our team is spending a full day on advanced Aveda color education this month. Continued education is part of how we work here.

Aubrie has been part of our salon team since October, and we’re excited to see her continue growing in the industry. She is now accepting appointments through our New Talent program for hair color services, manicures, and pedicures.
