I am lucky enough to have so many incredible nurses in my chair, and I’m constantly reminded that the care you give goes far beyond the job title. You hold people through some of their hardest moments, advocate when it matters most, and pour so much of yourselves into your patients and our communities 🩺

It is truly an honor to care for some of the people who spend their lives caring for everyone else. 🏥

And a very special shoutout to my incredible husband, John. I am so proud of your dedication, your heart, and the way you continue to show up for your patients. Watching you do what you do has given me an even deeper respect for nurses and the work you carry every day. 👨‍⚕️💝

This Friday, January 23rd, Boss Lady Salon will be closed in solidarity with my community.

I’m participating in ICE OUT Minnesota’s Day of Truth & Freedom by choosing not to buy, work, or participate in business as usual so we can collectively show support for our immigrant neighbors.

This is about humanity, safety, dignity, and standing with the people who make our communities stronger every single day.

This pause is intentional. It’s a reminder that behind every policy and headline are real families, real stories, and real lives that deserve compassion and protection.

Thank you for understanding, for holding space, and for standing with our community. I’ll be back behind the chair Saturday, with a full heart and open arms. 🤍

🎉 Today I celebrate 7 years at and 7 years of . My own four walls. My OWN name on the door. My little space where I get to decorate the way I want and run things in a way that truly serves my guests.

Twenty years in this industry and these last seven as Boss Lady have stretched me in all the best ways. Owning a business isn’t always easy. It’s early mornings, late nights, meeting goals, marketing, and a whole lot of heart, but I wouldn’t trade a single minute of it.

Thank you for trusting me with your hair, your stories, and your time. Watching this salon grow has been wild and wonderful, and it’s all because of you. I can’t wait to see what the next seven bring. Let’s keep the healthy hair, good vibes, and color magic going. ✨

She’s been in my chair since she was like 12 (😭), and we’ve done a lot of fun colors over the years—but this one might just be a new fave.

We took inspo from her past Espresso Martini look and gave it a twist:
☕️ Kept the rich, deep tone on top
⚡ Added bold blonde underneath for contrast
💫 Left just a soft face frame to brighten things up

It’s giving grown, confident, and cool-girl low-maintenance.
