Some supplements I have been incorporating into my wellness routine. Creative helps muscle building and recovery and can improve brain fog. Colostrum and collagen are good for bones and joints, which is super important to me in my mid 30s in preparation for perimenopause. My daily multivitamin I have been taking for years with iron that DOES NOT constipate me 🙌 and I have a probiotic for gut health and hyacera for skin. Living in the desert in a dry climate, I suffer year round with dry skin, but especially in winter. This is great to improve the suppleness of your skin. Not to forget my Owala 30oz to improve hydration throughout the day. I love these bottles because of the lid, only thing approved for healthcare settings and I love them for my daughter at school to prevent extra germs. I loathe the bottles that have exposed straws or drink spouts you have to touch to open 🤢

A budget friendly remodel. To keep costs down, we opted to keep the granite countertops (definitely not my favorite but they are in excellent condition) and keep the existing cabinets (again, in excellent condition) and just paint them. The color is Revere Pewter, a nice greige color that would blend with the cool toned floors and countertops but add a bit of warmth. To make the cabinets look more finish, we added plywood bottoms and trim pieces to conceal the exposed and unfinished frames. We splurged on new hardware for that WOW factor and went with a timeless unlacquered brass finish from to also add some more warmth. Changed out the pendant lights for a reeded glass style to open up the lighting. Added a tile backsplash and this was my boldest design decision. Our walls are all white and as much as I would have loved a neutral backsplash, our only real option was white and I felt that it was too cold looking. The blue adds a nice pop to our otherwise very white and neutral house and went with haystack color grout to keep the warmth. I originally chose white grout and that was a huge mistake I quickly realized before it was too late. The biggest change was removing the microwave from above the stove and I built a custom range hood cover instead with a shelf with a brass railing. I love this little shelf and it add some much needed character to the kitchen. Lastly, to make the kitchen island feel more finished and less “builder-grade,” we added some leftover headboard paneling to cover the textured drywall and make the corners 90 degrees. Added some thicker and more detailed baseboards and trim pieces to give it that pop. Finished the project with these counter stools from and they are absolutely perfection! My Nancy Meyers style kitchen is complete minus some pieces for styling the counters and a new faucet. What was your favorite part of this project? ⬇️
