Sometimes healing your hair doesn’t happen in one appointment — and sometimes you’re not ready for a big chop. And that is okay.

At Deep Roots Studio, we believe in transparency. We’ll always give our professional recommendations to help you reach your hair goals faster and more efficiently, while still honoring where you are in your journey. Whether you’re ready to fully let go of what no longer serves you or we need to work in stages, we’ll be here to support and guide you every step of the way.

For this client, her “before” was over 1 year after a silk press + relaxer. Through that process, she realized she truly prefers her natural texture and wanted to learn how to embrace and care for her curls. But she wasn’t comfortable doing a big chop — so instead, we created a plan that felt sustainable for her.

Now, she comes in for The Detox every 8–10 weeks to maintain shape and structure while we slowly trim away the remaining relaxed ends over time. Watching her progress already has been so special 🥹
