Okay, you may have followed me for the hair⦠but apparently weāre a plant page now too. ššæš
I saw Britt Parrish post that leafjoy Plants was looking for ambassadors and thought, āWhy not?!ā So I applied with ZERO expectations.
YāALL. THEY PICKED ME. šš
When I tell you I was SHOCKED⦠and then ridiculously excited when that first tracking email hit my inbox. š¦šŖ“
My first Leafjoy box is officially HERE and I cannot wait to show you what I got!
So between blondes, lived-in color and pretty hair⦠expect a little more planty chaos around here too. šæ
Because apparently doing hair and owning an unreasonable amount of plants wasnāt enough. šš
Thank you leafjoy Plants for choosing me! Let the plant enabling begin. šŖ“

Consider this your reminder that you do NOT have to become a brunette every September. šš

A little update as I get ready to make my way back behind the chair š
For now, I have my online booking turned off so I can have a little more control over my schedule and be realistic about what I physically feel like I can handle each day. As excited as I am to get back to doing hair and seeing all of you, I also know myself⦠and I do NOT need to come back full force and overdo it. š
So for the first couple of weeks, Iāll be easing back in and being a little more intentional with how much I book each day.
If youāre looking for an appointment or ready to get something scheduled, please reach out to me! I promise I donāt bite. š Send me a message and Iāll be happy to let you know what I have available and what we can make work.
I seriously cannot thank yāall enough for all of the patience, love and support youāve shown me during this time. I know so many of you are excited for me to be back, and trust me, Iām just as excited to see you and get my hands back in some hair!
It may be a slower start than usual, but Iām getting there. š

Iāve been going back through all the photos I took before I left for medical leave, and yāall⦠I miss doing hair SO much. š„¹š
I miss being behind the chair. I miss creating. I miss taking someoneās hair and turning it into something this beautiful. āØ
Iām definitely enjoying the last little bit of my time off, but Iād be lying if I said I wasnāt getting SO ready to get back to doing what I love.
So tell me⦠are yāall ready for me to come back as much as Iām ready to be behind the chair?! šš
September, Iām ready for you!

Surgery is officially behind me, and Iām happy to say everything went as smoothly as I could have hoped. š Thank you to everyone who has checked in, sent messages, prayed for me, or just thought about me. It truly means more than you know.
Now comes the hard part⦠recovering. š
Iām learning that doing absolutely nothing is way harder than I expected, but Iām trying my best to listen to my body and give it the time it needs to heal.
Iāve also had quite a few people reaching out about appointments, and I appreciate every single one of you thinking of me. Iāll be back behind the chair in September, and I canāt wait to see everyone again. I promise Iāll be worth the wait.
For now, Iām focusing on healing, spending time with my plants, and trying not to drive myself crazy sitting still. Thank you all for being so patient and supportive. Iāll keep sharing little recovery updates along the way. š

Ever wonder why I ask so many questions during your consultation?
Itās because your hair tells a story.
⨠Have you colored it before?
⨠Do you heat style every day?
⨠How often do you want to come back?
⨠Whatās your morning routine like?
Every answer helps me create a color thatās not only beautiful but realistic for your lifestyle.
Thereās no āone-size-fits-allā formula here. Every appointment is customized just for you, because your hair deserves a plan⦠not a guess. š

One thing about this client⦠sheās always going to keep me on my toes. š
She loves to switch things up, and this appointment was no exception. She wanted to bring back a copper look we had done before, but with a little extra dimension.
Hereās what was going through my mind behind the chairā¦
⨠I added strategically placed highlights to create ribbons of blonde that would peek through the copper instead of leaving the color looking solid from roots to ends.
⨠As I worked through her hair, I slightly adjusted my color formula for the underneath sections. Hair naturally appears darker underneath, so using a slightly deeper formula helped create a balanced, seamless result from top to bottom.
Those little decisions may seem small, but theyāre what create a color that feels intentional, dimensional, and customized.
Hair color isnāt about using the same formula from the first section to the last. Itās about understanding how hair behaves, making adjustments along the way, and creating a result thatās tailored specifically to the person sitting in my chair.
Thatās the part of hair color I love most. š

Pinterest is inspirationā¦not a guarantee.
Every head of hair starts from a different place.
Your natural color, previous color history, hair health, density, and texture all play a role in whatās possible.
Instead of chasing someone elseās exact hair, I focus on creating the best version for yours.
Healthy hair will always be the priority because beautiful color starts with healthy hair. āØš

One thing I kept telling myself during this appointmentā¦
Less is more.
This guest loves those bright ribbons of blonde, but she also loves being a brunette.
Those two things can absolutely go together. It all comes down to intentional placement.
As I was foiling her hair, I kept reminding myself not to overdo it. It can be tempting to keep adding ājust one more foil,ā but I knew that if I did, Iād lose the rich brunette she loves.
Instead, I focused on placing highlights where theyād create pops of brightness and movement while still letting her brunette be the star of the show.
Sometimes creating beautiful hair isnāt about adding more. Itās about knowing when enough is enough.
Every foil I place has a purpose, and every decision I make is based on the end result weāre trying to achieve. Thatās what customized color is all about. š
