hey it’s me. i’m still over here covered in dust, probably barefoot, hooting and hollering at the salon while i do stuff like this. 💚

✨thank you✨to everyone who has been super chill about the amount of rescheduling (and then again rescheduling) from the last few weeks. between changing my schedule to accommodate my fiancé’s job, illness and the snowmageddon, it’s been wild 😵‍💫

the unexpected SEVRAL days of forced rest, being at home and spending some extra time with my favorite guy this week was so good for my soul.

my clients are some of the most supportive people in my village. Levi’s salon aunts (and uncles!) are a huge reason he is able to thrive, because your constant flexibility allows me to accommodate his ever-changing needs. for the parent of a child with special needs, i cannot express how much weight that lifts. (tears in my eyes now, cool.)

anyway, love you guys. here’s Levi on his barber grind. 💙

while i am on a MUCH needed short break from the salon, i am reflecting on what a year its been. my clients have truly become my community, i am so thankful for each and every one of you.

there is such a high and sacred privilege in being in this industry. having a collective of people, who budget both money and time on a luxury service because they see my value is so special. being the secret keeper or the person who you tell first when you find out you’re pregnant, or you’re getting married. being a shoulder when you are grieving. being a therapist when you need advice. this job is so special to me, because i get to do what i love every single day while also taking care of my village, who in turn, consistently carries me.
thank you for holding hands with me. i can’t wait to see where this year takes us. 💚🪩💚

well, my zero tolerance clown policy was more flexible than i thought, so there’s that. (y’all better not start asking for more clown stuff and i’m saying that with my chest. 🤣🫠)
