Every bar does more than clean. 🧼🐕🇺🇸
When you grab a bar from Cruel Bloom Soap Company, you’re helping support something bigger.

We donate a portion of every sale to K9s For Warriors, the nation’s largest provider of trained service dogs to veterans struggling with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, or military sexual trauma. And here’s the kicker — it’s all at no cost to the veteran.

Why we back them:
🐾 They rescue dogs and train them to become life-saving service animals
🧠 They focus on invisible wounds — the kind you don’t see, but that hit hardest
🤝 Every dog/vet pairing is backed by data — it works, and it saves lives
🪖 Every bar sold helps support veterans’ recovery and gives rescue dogs a second chance

Every bar you buy fuels that mission — helping veterans heal and giving rescue dogs a purpose.

Train hard. Clean up. Give back.

LABEL CHECK 🧼💀
You train hard. You watch what goes in your body.
But what about what goes on your body?

Most commercial soaps?
💀 Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) – strips your skin’s natural oils
💀 Parabens & phthalates – linked to hormone disruption
💀 Synthetic fragrance – chemical cocktail, barely regulated
💀 Petrolatum, tallow & waxy fillers – clog pores, coat your skin
💀 Artificial dyes & stabilizers – offer nothing but irritation risk
💀 Mass production, zero soul – made for shelf life, not sweat

That “moisturizing body bar” in your shower?
It’s not even legally soap.

At Cruel Bloom Soap Company, we do it different:
✅ Natural, plant-based oils & butters that nourish your skin
✅ Handcrafted in small batches
✅ Skin-safe fragrance oils—zero junk, all performance
✅ Functional additives like kaolin clay, pine tar, and colloidal oatmeal to fight grime, soothe skin, and keep you clean after the mat or the barbell
✅ Built for sweat, blood, chalk, and grind—not grandma’s guest bathroom

🚿 Check your label.
If you can’t pronounce half the ingredients, maybe it’s time to clean up your routine.

🧼 Tag a training partner still using drugstore bars.

Start messy. You don’t need a perfect plan — you’ll clean it up later.

When I started making soap, it was because I couldn’t find a decent pine tar bar at the store. So I grabbed some molds and ingredients off Amazon and found a handheld blender at a thrift shop. That first batch was rough — crooked bars, weird scent — but it worked. And that was all I needed to keep going.

I didn’t know anything about niches or branding. I just knew I didn’t want to keep using store-bought bars full of junk that left my skin dry and tight after every training session.

So I kept making soap. Different scents, wild colors, no real direction — just figuring it out one messy batch at a time.

My first real attempt at branding leaned hard into dystopia. The soaps were named after Mad Max, 1984, Handmaid’s Tale. Our logo was literally an eye from Orwell.
Then I shifted into “soap with a story.” Book-inspired bars. A cleaner aesthetic. Tagline: handmade soap with a story. It sounded nice — but it still didn’t feel like me.

What did?
Getting off the mats after a hard roll, drenched in someone else’s sweat.
Peeling myself off the CrossFit floor with black knees and chalk-covered hands.
That’s where it clicked.

I needed soap that could clean off the grime, not erase the grit.

That’s when Cruel Bloom became what it is now. Not perfect. But honest. And built for people who train, grind, and keep showing up.

Train. Clean. Repeat.

🧼 Four Bars. No Fluff. Just Grit.
After one too many workouts that left me covered in sweat, chalk, and floor grime—or rolling in someone else’s sweat at jiu jitsu—I was done with showering using soap full of chemicals I couldn’t pronounce.

I wanted something that actually worked with my body, not against it.
No parabens. No phthalates. No fake suds from lab-made detergents.

Just real soap for real people who train hard and don’t want to wash off a workout with more junk.

I tested a ton of batches until four stuck. Each one has a job: to wake you up, clean you off, or shut it all down at night.

💥 Fight Gone Bad
Pre-workout bar.
Lemon + tangerine essential oils for a clean, sharp jolt that wakes you up and gets your head right.
Bright. Sharp. Unapologetic.

🥋 Filthy Fifty
Post-workout bar.
Tea tree oil + activated charcoal to scrub away sweat, chalk, and mat grime. Built for barbell days and jiu jitsu nights.
Clean. Cold. Unrelenting.

❄️ Fran
Post-workout bar.
Peppermint to cool the burn and open your lungs. A clean reset after heavy breathing and hard rounds.
Cool. Crisp. Reliable.

🌙 Grace
Recovery bar.
Lavender to settle the noise. Perfect for sore muscles, late showers, and shutting it all off.
Calm. Grounded. Unshakable.

Made for the gym floor, the mat, the barbell.
Takes the grime, leaves the grit.
TRAIN. CLEAN. REPEAT.

During the lockdown in 2020, I started making soap in my kitchen — mostly just to stay busy and sane. I had no business plan, no idea where it would go… just a bunch of oils, clays, lye, essential oils, and a lot of trial and error.

Some bars turned out weird. Some turned out great. A few were downright embarrassing 😅

Eventually, I narrowed it down to four that really worked. These are the ones that stuck — the ones that felt like us, and like the people I wanted to make this for:

🧼 Fight Gone Bad – bright citrus that slaps you awake
🧼 Filthy Fifty – earthy, gritty, feels like a deep breath after a brutal set
🧼 Fran – clean, cool, no-nonsense
🧼 Grace – calm, lavender, a little soft reset

These bars didn’t come from a lab. They came from sweat, mess, and a lot of starting over. And now, they’re part of something bigger.

Every bar sold helps support veterans and rescued dogs through K9s For Warriors. It’s not charity — it’s community. It’s giving people and animals a second shot. That matters to me more than any bottom line.

So yeah — this started with me, alone in a kitchen, chasing a feeling.
Now it’s Cruel Bloom. Built on grit, grounded in purpose.

Thanks for being here. 🤘🏻⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
