I had a special visitor in the salon today! Milkshake is the classroom pal for one of my young clients. Each weekend, a different child brings him home and documents their adventures in his journal. I’m excited I was part of his story this weekend 🤍 He sat really still for me 😝😆

I hope you all had a fabulous holiday season. This year was my favorite-my babies are just growing so fast! With that being said, with the new year comes new news for Beards & Shears.

After a whole lot of thought (and a few tears), I wanted to share that starting in the middle of May, I will be hanging up my clippers to become a full-time stay-at-home mom.

This shop and this chair have been home for the last 5 years, and that’s because of YOU. To every client who trusted me with their hair, their stories, their jokes, their rants, and their “just do whatever” moments-thank you. You truly became the backbone of why I loved this job so much. It never felt like “work” because of the people sitting in my chair.

I also want to give the biggest thank you to Trish and Tonja. For the last 5 years, you’ve been so much more than coworkers-you’ve been support, encouragement, laughter, and friendship. I’m incredibly grateful for everything you’ve taught me and for the memories we’ve shared. I’m going to miss working alongside you more than I can put into words.

Leaving is incredibly bittersweet. I’m genuinely sad to step away from something that has brought me so much joy…but I’m also so excited for this next adventure with my babies (even if it involves less sleep and more snacks on the floor).

Thank you for the support, the loyalty, and the love over the years. I’ll miss you all more than you know. To those I see less often throughout the year, make sure you come see me before I leave!
