Stepped away from the massage room for a little brunch with a friend yesterday. ☀️
I spend a lot of time helping others slow down and take care of themselves, so I make sure I do the same when I can. Good food, good conversation, and a little time to reset.
Self-care isn’t just something I recommend… it’s something I practice.
What are some things you do for self-care?

I’ve always been fascinated by the human body.
When I was in the 6th grade, I was convinced our bodies were magical. I believed they could heal themselves, and I dreamed that one day I might discover a cure for cancer. My curiosity for science started early with astronomy and biology, and that curiosity never really left.
Long before I became a massage therapist, I was studying the body in my own way. Even now, I’m constantly going down the rabbit hole whenever I learn something new.
These days I’ve been talking with women and gathering information about perimenopause so I can better understand and share helpful insights. I’m also taking a deep dive into something fascinating… what our hip and leg mobility may say about our overall health and even our lifespan.
The body always has something to teach us. I’m just someone who loves listening to it.

Here’s to 5 years!!
Five years ago, I walked away from my career as an investigator and stepped fully into entrepreneurship. I opened Your Me Time Massage immediately, not fully knowing what the path would look like, but trusting that I was being led to create something of my own.
There were growing pains. New systems to learn. Clients lost while figuring things out, and new ones gained along the way. Every challenge shaped both the business and the therapist I’ve become.
Five years later, I’m grateful. A new space. A team. More experience, more clarity, and a deeper understanding of purpose.
I truly believe God guided this journey, and I’m thankful for everyone who has supported me, trusted me, and grown with me along the way.

Wrapping up the day and resetting the room for what’s ahead. Watching clients walk in, smile, and immediately feel good in the space is everything to us.
Room #2 has been in full operation, and the feedback has been consistent. Everyone comments on how beautiful it is and how calm they feel just being in the room. That feeling matters here.
Grateful for our team and their continued support as we continue to grow and expand with intention.

How can I help you feel lighter?
Most clients come to me feeling "stuck" or “stiff.” They feel a deep, heavy stiffness in their upper back and neck that they just can’t relieve no matter how much stretching and self-massage they do. Even recruiting the help of household members to just “press that lil spot right there.” Often, they’ve even started to notice a "bulk" or "hump" forming at the base of their neck, assuming it’s just something they have to live with. Thinking it’s just “fat.”
Here’s what’s “happnin’!”
Your body is likely just protecting itself.
When you are chronically stiff, muscles like your Trapezius, Rhomboids, and Levator Scapulae don’t just get tight—they "bunch up." They thicken to act as a physical anchor for your spine against the strain of daily life. This creates that dense, rounded look you see in the "before" photo.
In under 20 minutes, I helped this client’s body remember how to let go.
By manually releasing the fascia and lengthening the muscle fibers, I was able to smooth out that tension. The result isn't just a flatter, smoother back—it’s a body that can finally breathe and move without restriction.
I’m here to help you:
-Identify the Root: I look past the surface to find exactly which muscles are "guarding" your spine.
-Rapid Relief: My work focuses on creating visible, structural change in a fraction of the time of a standard massage.
-Long-Term Ease: We don't just "rub" the area; we restructure the tissue so you can stay mobile.
(Note: Client confidentiality is my priority. These progress photos were shared with full written consent to demonstrate the structural results of my work.)
Once I get in my zone, that’s all I focus on. I start out with calming the body with a steady and smooth flow. Nothing else on my mind, but listening to your body and being aware of its responses to your therapeutic care. When you’re in the office, you’re all that matters. Temika Hines
