"Where Your Hair Is Our Top Priority" is not just a saying, It is what we stand by!

Well, here’s the post that I’ve been dreading for sometime now. I’ve been trying to come up with just the right words to describe the feelings I feel. So here it goes, Deep breath….
Today was the last day that Salon Thirty Seven serviced it’s clients. Some of you that are the closest to me and the girls that called Salon Thirty Seven home, know how hard of a decision this was for me. There are so many things that I could say about salon ownership and what the last 3 years have entailed, but I won’t bore you. But I will say, it was harder than I thought it would be, but I don’t regret a minute of it. It allowed me to see what I could do, and makes me grateful for the opportunities and perspective it brought me. Had it not been for my amazing stylists that I worked along with, and our awesome clients, I probably wouldn’t have made it this far.
This is not the end for all of us who called Salon Thirty Seven home. It’s a new beginning! Our stylists have already been in contact with you or will be in contact with you shortly about their new locations. So no fear about finding a new stylist.
I thank you all for continuing to support me and the girls, keeping us so busy for the last few years, and hope that you continue to support us in all the ways. It’s truly has been a blessing.

5 years ago today (July 17, 2015) I signed my first lease on the space that would become Salon Thirty Seven.
My husband was stationed on the other side of the world in Okinawa, Japan. My boys and I were here in Georgia, over 400 miles away from any family.
With the help of a plumber, and electrician, my oldest son (Gavyn) and a few friends, Salon Thirty Seven opened it's doors in less than 7 weeks.
Three years later, I moved the salon to where it is now.
To say I poured my whole self into my salon would be an understatement. I gave it more than my all time and time again.
I pushed through every obstacle that was thrown my way.
A flood, a fire, and then covid.
After re-opening I looked back at how far I had come. And I realized I was ready to go home.
I made my childhood dream of owning a salon come true.
And I did it all better than I ever thought I could!
Through my hard work, the help from the most amazing customers in the state of Georgia, the support of my husband and my boys, a small team of wonderful stylists, my faith in myself and more so in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; I have been a very blessed and successful salon owner.
Thanks to all of the support and dedication of each and every customer that has sat in a styling chair at Salon Thirty Seven, I have been able to donate thousands of dollars to charities for pediatric brain cancer. I was able to bring much needed supplies to people that needed it most after Hurricane Harvey. And the list goes on. All of that was possible because of you, our amazing customers! And that's what makes me successful! Paying it ALL forward!
On August 1, 2020, Salon Thirty Seven will be under new ownership and I couldn't have chosen a better person to keep what I've built alive.
Kristina has been with me for a long time. She knows my salon like the back of her hand. She's put in the work and she's made me extremely proud.
Please continue to support her as much as you've supported me! She deserves it!

Raechel

📌📌IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING
UPDATED POLICIES & OPENING DATES📌📌
📢 From the owner of Salon Thirty Seven 📢
I am working extremely hard to get the salon within the new guidelines and recommendations put forth by the State of Georgia and by the Georgia Board of Cosmetology. We will NOT reopen until ALL of these requirements are met AND exceeded!
When we DO reopen, it will be different.
📌We will be APPOINTMENT ONLY.
📌EVERY customer will HAVE to immediately use hand sanitizer, put on a disposable facemask (provided by us), check your temperature, fill out a questionnaire and sign a waiver. **please do not hug your stylist** We want to hug you but we can't!
📌If any of these required steps are skipped, you will not be able to get your service.
📌We will be limiting the number of people in our salon so guests may not accompany you, including your spouse, child/children. If more than 1 person in a family is getting a scheduled service, only 1 person per family is allowed at 1 time. (Of course a parent must stay with their child that is getting a service but as soon as the child is finished, they need to be accompanied by an adult outside before the next service starts.)
📌If you had an appointment between March 21st and April 30, your stylist will contact you to reschedule those appointments. We are booking our customers in order and we have long lists to work through. Not every stylist will be working each day. We are staggering our days so everyone's schedule is a little different. Again, please be patient with us! We want you in our chair and we are doing the best we can with what we've been given!
❤As many of our customers know, we have a habit of going above and beyond at Salon Thirty Seven, especially when it comes to cleanliness and the health and wellbeing of everyone who comes into our salon. We all appreciate your patience and support and ask for a little bit more while we navigate through all of the new territory. Its confusing and costly but everyone's health is worth it so we have to do it right!❤
For everyone that has reached out and offered to help, offered words of encouragement, or has sent their stylists some extra money during this time, with all of my heart, THANK YOU!!! Your kindness and gratitude is amazing and appreciated so very much!!! People like you make our days so much brighter and we can't wait to see you!!!!

We take every customers health and well being seriously at our salon.
Once we are allowed to re-open, we will be implementing some new policies so that we can continue to provide a healthy salon for all of our guests!
📌 If you have traveled outside of the CSRA, please let us know!
📌 If you are sick or have been sick, please reschedule!
📌 If you have been exposed or potentially exposed to someone with COVID 19 or the flu, please reschedule your appointment!
📌 As soon as you come inside of the salon, please use the hand sanitizer at the front desk.
📌 Since your stylist has to be face to face with you at some time during your appointment, we ask that you please wear an earloop mask while in the salon. If you do not have one, we will provide you a disposable one. Please keep this on until you leave.
📌 To help maintain a minimum number of people in the salon at one time, we ask that you do not bring a guest with you to your appointment. (This includes children.)
📌 If you arrive early to your appointment, please wait in your vehicle as we are not allowing people to congregate in the waiting area.
📌 Please do not bring food into the salon with you.
We have stepped up the sanitation and disinfectant policies that we already followed and will be continuing those extra steps going forward. These include but are not limited to 📌 sanitizing and disinfecting our stations, chairs, implements, tools, etc after every customer. 📌 As well as our phones, desk, door handles, light switches, etc multiple times throughout the day. 📌 We also will not be double booking our customers at this time for any reason. 📌 All magazines have been removed. 📌All small hand towels have been removed from the restroom and only paper towels will be offered to dry hands after handwashing.
❤We very much appreciate your support during all of this and can't wait for everything to go back to "normal"! With your help and continued support, we will get there sooner!❤

I know your roots are bad, I know your hair will be too long and you won't feel like yourself. I would love to go back to work but I can't, our industry can't. When you ask us what kind of color you will need and buy that store box color just remember your putting money into the big companies pocket while we small ones are suffering. There is no way to make income from our industry right now since we are hands on. When we can come back, please remember us and please don't blame us if we need to fix your hair and it will cost more.
Not only do we miss our income but we miss you. Our chats, laughter, tears, we share so much more than just a haircut. We are standing here united to stay safe but inside we are worried and stressed about our work being completely torn from us. We sit patiently waiting, like you, for answers or reassurance of some sort. With uncertain clarity, we hope and pray that you will be back to us soon and our industry comes back stronger than ever! 🙏
Please share and support your stylist. Help remember our hairstylist community as we stand not behind our chair right now, but united being safe through this pandemic.
❤

After lots of prayers and stressful worries, I have officially decided to close my books and my salon until the beginning of April..
Kristina and Ashley have already contacted their customers and I will be doing the same today.
I will be working on an online store for products and gift cards so that, you, our amazing customers can support us during this time if you would like to do so!
I am terrified that this decision will drastically alter all of my hard work and sacrifices that my family and I have made to to own a sucessful brick and mortar business, as well as the hard work that each of my stylists has put in to build their books and their own businesses within my walls.
But the health and well-being of our customers, their families, my stylists, our families, and myself are more important than haircuts, hair color, and of course money!
I am putting my faith into God and the wonderful people that have so graciously supported me for the past 4 and a half years. With the help from our loyal customers and our Heavenly Father, we will be just fine and we will bounce back.
Please, take care of yourselves and others! Stay home, wash your hands, practice social distancing, say your prayers, and enjoy each day because the world needs you! ❤
