Every great story starts somewhere and ours began with a simple question in an old barn.
When the Kuiken family moved into their new home, Dustin saw potential in the large, weathered barn out back. He asked his son Everett what kind of business they should build together.
Without hesitation, Everett said:
“A knife making business.”
And just like that, Kuiken & Co. Knife Works was born.
Today, Dustin and Everett handcraft each knife one at a time using traditional methods and high-quality materials built for real performance. From high-carbon and stainless steel blades to carefully selected hardwood and Micarta handles, every detail is crafted with purpose, durability, and character in mind.
Everett plays a hands-on role in the shop—helping sand and finish handles, scribe grind lines, choose materials, and sharpen each blade. He takes pride in helping ensure every knife meets the standards we stand behind.
Our knives aren’t just tools ⚒️ they’re made to be trusted companions. Built for the woods, the field, and everyday carry, each one is designed to serve for years—and generations—to come.
