Knowing how to install extensions properly not just about how much hair I can add—it’s about how I distribute that weight and how the extensions fit into your lifestyle.

✨ Less tension at the anchor points
The hair closest to the front of the head is often finer and more fragile. A split row allows me to reduce the weight and tension placed on those vulnerable end beads and anchor points.

✨ More even + comfortable weight distribution
Instead of asking one continuous row to support all of that extension hair, splitting the row allows me to strategically distribute the weight across the head for an install that feels lighter and more comfortable.

✨ A safer way to create length on fine or fragile hair
Length requires more grams of extension hair—and more grams means more weight. A split row gives me greater control over where that weight is placed so we can create length without unnecessarily overloading more delicate areas of the natural hair - this is critical for my fine haired clients.

✨ More versatile styling
For my clients who love wearing bubble braids, French braids, pigtails and other styles that create a visible part down the back of the head, this is a game changer.

By splitting the row, I can intentionally create space through that part so there isn’t a weft crossing directly underneath it. When she separates her hair for those styles, the weft line stays concealed instead of peeking through her part.
