When it comes to hair loss/shedding, ya girl knows a thing or two. I experienced it twice: with postpartum and then again before and during my separation/divorce.
It quite literally, sucks. But there is hope, you just have to be patient and willing to be consistent with products and/or supplements.

Mental health has been recently more widely talked about, but I feel like for hairstylists in general it’s still missing. I think working in a small town, people can tend to forget that we are human and have a life outside of the salon. And with today’s technology, it seems that we are available to respond to clients 24/7, or can take in clients last minute/same week etc. It’s 2026, appointments are the standard to balance our work and home lives. It should be normal to respond during business hours and take a few days to catch up on requests/messages if we are working full time. Hair not only is physically demanding on our bodies from standing and foiling and blow-outs, but it’s also emotionally and mentally demanding.

I honestly have more that I’ve learned over the years working behind the chair, but the Canva template I used ran out of slides and my brain cntrl+alt+dlt anything else I had in there 🙈🤣
