Thank you all for coming tonight to honor Lisa.
It meant more to our family than we can put into words that so many of you came to celebrate her life and help remember the person she was. Having that time together with those of you who loved and cared about her brought a sense of comfort and closure that we all truly needed.
Pictured are Lisa's last cup that she used on our March 2026 trip to Universal Studios and the sling holder.. Also pictured is her Driver's license, her Universal Rewards Visa, and lastly her annual passes for Disney World and Universal Studios.
She was happiest with us there and we were truly blessed to be able to make so many repeat trips. Also pictured is the memory box where you guys were allowed to share what you wanted to say with Lisa Parks Finney , but were unable to before she passed..
Thank you for your kindness, support, prayers, and for helping us honor Lisa, my wife and my children's mother's memory tonight. Your presence meant everything to our family and will not be forgotten.
In Loving Memory of Lisa Parks Finney
As many of you know, Lisa was passionate about supporting causes that were deeply personal to her and our family. In honor of her life and legacy, we would like to recognize the three charities she supported wholeheartedly:
• NCUDF – National Urea Cycle Disorders Foundation
• NORD – National Organization for Rare Disorders
• ACF – American Breast Cancer Foundation
These organizations meant a great deal to Lisa and I, and I wanted to be sure they were highlighted here.
For anyone who was unable to attend, Lisa’s full funeral service can be viewed through FairHaven Funeral Home in Macon, Georgia. Please note that the video link may take a minute to load. While it is loading, there is a stationary memorial image/video displayed above the funeral video. Lisa is listed under Mary “Lisa” Finney. Yes the spacing of FairHaven is correct…
I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has reached out to me, my children, and Lisa’s family during this incredibly difficult time. Your phone calls, messages, prayers, and check-ins to make sure we are all okay have meant more than words can ever properly express.
A very special thank you to Pastor Jim Duggan for not only performing Lisa’s service, but for being a true friend to our family.
I would also like to thank everyone who sent flowers. The arrangements were absolutely beautiful and brought so much comfort to our family. Unfortunately, the funeral home provided me with flower cards that were separated from the arrangements, without photos, addresses, or clear information showing which flowers came from whom. This made it impossible for me to personally thank each sender, which truly saddened me. Please know how much your kindness was appreciated, even if I’m unable to thank you individually.
I would especially like to recognize Lisa’s dear friends, former clients, and salon family who traveled from Fort Walton Beach to Macon on very short notice—a drive of roughly five and a half hours—to be there with us. Your love and support did not go unnoticed. Special recognition to Heidi, Mercedes, Sharon, and your families for making that trip and honoring Lisa in person.
For those wishing to learn more about Lisa’s final resting place, she is buried at historic Salem Methodist Church in Juliette, Georgia. Oliver Sloan wrote an article about Salem Methodist Church and its 200-year bicentennial celebration this year, which can be found by searching online. There is something meaningful in knowing Lisa became part of my/our church’s history during its bicentennial year…
From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for your love, support, kindness, and for honoring Lisa’s life.
With gratitude,
Tarver and Family

Rather than hauling equipment to the memorial dinner, I'm going to share our memorial video here as most will not be able to make the dinner and I want the world to know what a special and caring relationship we had. I would like to give thanks to Preston Wilson for making the video for us and to my BIL Wayne Parks who has provided family with thumb drives of it.

Please join us as we celebrate the life of Lisa Finney and gather in Fort Walton Beach to share memories, stories, and love.
Many of you may have questions, as Lisa stepped away from work and social contact during the last several months of her life. She made the personal decision to spend that time privately with her family, focusing on what mattered most to her.
Our family will be present at the memorial dinner and will be happy to answer questions, reconnect with friends, and celebrate our Lisa with all who loved her.
Lisa, the love of my life is gone... I've posted links to her service information.

For 24 years, Hair is Here has been so much more than a salon — it has been a family. And that family is you.
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank each and every friend and client who has supported Hair is Here through the years. Your loyalty, your laughter, your stories, and your trust have meant more to us than words could ever fully express. You have allowed us to be part of your lives — to watch your children grow up, to share in your milestones, your celebrations, and even your quiet moments. Those memories will always be treasured.
As many of you know, we are walking through an unimaginable illness that is bringing this chapter of our lives to a close far sooner than we ever expected. We are deeply grateful for the love you’ve shown us and for the way you’ve respected our privacy during this incredibly difficult time.
Please know how much we already miss our Hair is Here family. The daily conversations, the hugs, the shared tears and laughter — they have been a gift.
Ownership transfer will begin tomorrow, and we will share an update soon regarding whether Jennifer or another individual will continue the Hair is Here name.
Most of all, we ask that you continue to keep us in your prayers — especially Lisa. Your prayers, your kindness, and your support are carrying us more than you know.
With all our love and gratitude,
Lisa and Tarver Finney
