There’s something about adding thoughtful details that makes a space feel even more like home. These custom Roots Hair Therapy capes are officially here, and I’m obsessed.

It’s amazing how something as simple as a cape can make the experience feel just a little more elevated.

You may notice your favorite SEVEN products look a little different the next time you're in the salon!

SEVEN recently updated their packaging, but don't worry...the products inside are the same formulas we've all been loving. 🤍

One thing I love about this line, especially during the summer, is how easy it is to keep your hair healthy without needing a cabinet full of products. A good shampoo and conditioner, a leave-in, and UV protection can make a huge difference this time of year.

For the first time in a long time, life doesn't feel quite as rushed, and I'm trying to embrace that instead of filling every empty space.

I've been spending more time creating, slowing down, and thinking about what I want the next chapter of Roots Hair Therapy to look like.

Before jumping into the pool, rinse your hair with clean water first.

Hair acts a bit like a sponge. If it's already saturated with fresh water, it may absorb less chlorinated water while you swim.

Your color, extensions, and overall hair health will thank you.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as no-shows, will be charged 50% of the scheduled service total.

As a small business owner, last-minute cancellations often leave time that cannot be filled and directly impact my schedule and income.

May always feels like a lot.

School wrapping up, graduations, events… everything kind of stacks at once, and hair appointments are usually the thing that gets pushed off.

Just a quick heads up from me —
May is fully booked, and I’m now scheduling into June.

If you know you’ll want your hair done before summer really gets going, I’d go ahead and get something on the books so you have options that work for your schedule.

I also just got back from a retreat, and I’m feeling really good about it. I have a lot of ideas I’m slowly working in — nothing big or overwhelming, just small things that make the experience feel better overall. You’ll start noticing those over the next few months.

Lately behind the chair, I’ve been keeping things pretty simple. Getting the scalp clean, making sure moisture is balanced, and just getting everything back to a good baseline going into warmer weather. That alone makes such a difference this time of year.

If you’re not sure when you should come in next or what your hair needs right now, just ask me when you’re in or send me a message. I’m always happy to help you figure that out.
