I said what I said. šš
Flowers may not solve everything⦠but Iāve yet to see a bad day made worse by bringing home a bouquet.
Consider this your sign to buy yourself the flowers. šø
And if theyāre locally grown? Even better. š¤
I spent way too long treating Instagram like a room full of people I knew.
Wondering who was watching. Who thought it was too much. Who didnāt care. Who might roll their eyes.
And somewhere along the way, I realized⦠this is my little corner of the internet.
A place to document the things Iām growing, creating, learning, loving and becoming. The ordinary days. The beautiful ones. The messy ones. The things I want to remember.
So hereās to using social media a little more like a diary again ā creating because it brings you joy, sharing because you have something to say, and worrying a whole lot less about whoās watching. š¤

A little glimpse into an ordinary morning before work. š¤
Fresh dahlias from the garden.
Coffee made at home.
A curious three-year-old beside me.
A walk through the flowers before the day really begins.
Nothing extraordinary ā and somehow, these are the parts of life I know Iāll miss the most.
Iām learning to notice the beauty while Iām still living it. To romanticize the ordinary, document the little things, and let a full life also be a beautiful one.
This is the layered life. šæ
There is nothing you could do to make Him love you more.
And nothing you could do to make Him love you less. š¤
Not when youāre thriving.
Not when youāre barely holding it together.
Not when youāve gotten it right ā or when youāve gotten it terribly wrong.
His love was never something you had to earn.
Maybe someone needed that reminder tonight.
You are known.
You are seen.
You are loved.
Right here, right now.
āFor I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers⦠will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.ā
- Romans 8:38ā39 š¤

Itās been a while since Iāve properly introduced myself around hereāand with quite a few new faces joining us lately, it felt like time. š¤
Hi, Iām AlexAndriaāthe grower + designer behind Bedeās Blooms + Co.
Iām a wife, mama + stepmama, flower grower, florist, garden designer, writer, avid learner and insatiably curious human. By day, Iām a corporate professionalāand somehow, I still feel most like myself with my hands in the dirt and something growing nearby.
Bedeās Blooms began with flowers, but five growing seasons later, it has become so much more.
I grow flowers + food, design florals for weddings and gatherings, and spend an unreasonable amount of time experimenting in the gardenālearning what thrives, what doesnāt and why. Now, Iām taking that love beyond my own backyard through garden design + consulting, locally in Michigan and virtually.
If thereās one thread running through almost everything I do, itās curiosity.
I want to know how things grow. How to create gardens that are beautiful AND useful. How flowers can transform a table or room. How our homes and gardens change when we slow down long enough to notice them.
Iām forever learning, researching, experimenting, creatingāand then wanting to tell someone what I discovered. š
Which is probably why writing has found its way back into my life, too. Petals & Prose is where Iām sharing the longer storiesāthe things Iām growing, learning + noticing when an Instagram caption simply isnāt enough.
I donāt have it all figured out, and I donāt want this space to pretend that I do.
Iād rather invite you into the processāthe experiments, successes, complete flops, flowers, food, weddings, gardens, stories + beauty hidden in ordinary days.
Because the older I get, the more I believe a beautiful life isnāt something we simply stumble upon.
Itās something we cultivate.
Slowly. Intentionally. Season by season. šæ
Iām so glad youāre here. š¤
What are you growing, creating or learning lately?

The garden has never been particularly sentimental about endings.
Flowers bloom. Seeds form. Leaves fall. Beds are cleared. And somewhere beneath it all, another season is already beginning.
Maybe thereās something to learn from that.
We donāt have to hold onto something simply because it was once beautiful. Sometimes honoring a season means allowing it to end. šæ

A little summer beauty for your feed šø Also because apparently I havenāt posted here in⦠forever. š
I have SO much beautiful content sitting on this little device and approximately zero time to actually share any of it.
Itās been a full season ā six weddings, a large event at the Breslin Center, a pop-up, CSA flowers, custom orders, and everything in between. And somehow, weāre already heading into the slower part of our season.
One small Ć la carte wedding this weekend, and then Iām intentionally keeping the rest of the season pretty open. š¤
This year Iāve been learning that just because I can fit more in doesnāt necessarily mean I should. Iām trying to be much more intentional about slowing down, taking care of my health and mental well-being, preventing burnout, being present with my family, and continuing to give my career the attention it deserves.
Itās a lot to juggle ā and sometimes social media is simply the ball that gets dropped. š«£
But the flowers are still growing, beautiful things are still happening over here, and Iāll eventually get around to sharing some of them.
For now, a little summer beauty. šæšø
