There’s just something about those 22’s. 😍😍

Installed two rows of 22 inch Handtied hair extensions for this client! We opted for more of a soft ombré look for this new install. We were able to custom root the extensions and place multiple different colors to create the perfect soft blend into her hair!

Also because she has fine hair we chose to bring the bright blonde in by only using blonde wefts and keeping the lightener off her hair!! This allows her to have that bright blonde she has always wanted without the added risk of lightening her natural hair!!

How beautiful is that soft melt?!

Today we had a skip school and work day to do something she has been begging me for months to do!! I’m always so thankful for the mommy daughter days I still get to have! To get to do my own daughters hair was seriously top 10 in my career!

She wanted this day for hair, and I needed this day because she’s growing up. ☺️

She’s beautiful. Both inside and out!

On Sundays we don’t play the algorithm game, so you just get a picture of a pretty before and after! 😘

I am so excited to welcome and introduce you to my new intern Kendra!

Some of you have already had the chance to meet her since she’s been in and out of the salon since Christmas! Well, now that it is summer she is officially starting her internship with Addyson West Salon!

Kendra is going into her Senior year of highschool attending Diamond Oaks to persue her cosmetology license while finishing school! She is on track to be fully Liscenced in November of this year BEFORE SHE EVEN GRADUATES FROM HIGHSCHOOL!

She is fully prepared to talk all things summer, outdoors, hair and fashion with you! She is so wonderful and such a good addition to the Salon! She will be soaking in all the knowledge she can this summer, shadowing, and dipping her toes into some services!

Tape Ins vs Handtied extensions!

Extension method matters!

Just imagine yourself outside on a windy day, which method do you think will hide your extensions better?!

With handtied extensions you have so much more versatility in your styling. The way they are placed and installed give you flexibility to do all different kinds of style including ponytails and still be able to hide the fact that you are wearing extensions!

The removal process of tape ins is not easy when you are talking about trying to protect your hair as much as possible, between the adhesive and the grow out, it’s much harder on your hair.

Taking out handtied extensions just requires cutting the track! No glue, adhesive or heat. And it takes about 5 minutes!

This color isn’t for everyone, but it’s so beautiful!

Committing to platinum means:

Root retouch and tones no longer than every 6 weeks, to avoid having bands in the hair.

Using low heat or almost no heat on your hair regularly. The more heat you use the quicker the toner will fade.

Regular at home conditioning treatments to maintain the health of your hair.

And if you decide yo go past the 6 week mark, it will be more time consuming in the salon. But if you are willing to sit through it the results are 🔥!

New Year, New Hair! 🎉

Taking this look from bold, with large highlights and heavy contrast to soft, diffused, and melty! We also added two rows of handtied extensions for added thickness and length! Giving this client a more natural and soft overall look! 🤍

This look was so much fun to create! I spent a few days thinking about lots of factors that played into this. How was I going to get rid of the red? How was I going to get rid of the harsh lines? How was I going to pick the extension hair colors to match without even having a finished canvas first?!

There are some days where I still impress myself! So many moving parts to the color correction and install and I’m in love with the way it all came together!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

It’s really the GROWTH for me!

After one year of wearing handtied hair extensions this client has had significant growth! Her hair is healthy, soft, and brighter!

When we started, her hair was at that just past the shoulders length. Where you’re not sure, like do I cut it? Do I grow it? Extensions twere the perfect way to help grow out her hair while not having to deal with the awkward phase of grow out!

One of my favorite things to do when the seasons change and it seems to get a little bit, let’s say ashy and gray outside, is to take my bright beautiful blondes and turn them into breathtaking lived in blondes!!

The prefect root color, with the subtle dimension and root melt can still give you the look of being all over blonde but just enough chance to give you a little pep in your step during the winter season! ❄️

Me during the consult: “OK, so we are going to keep the rooted, melty look make the front a little brighter and add the money piece, right?”

Client : “Did you just say money piece? 😂”

Me: “Sure did!”

I still love the reactions I get the first time clients hear money piece! It never gets old!

Out there lookin’ like a million bucks! 💰 🔥 💁🏼‍♀️
