Anyone want to donate drop it by the salon and I’ll make sure Maggie gets the items so she can support operation give back!

Now through July 4th, we are going to be collecting food for the food pantry at Operation Give Back. Some of you may remember that this was the organization that Maggie chose to donate to in November/December of 2020. Maggie decided to start the food donations with her favorite food in the world, macaroni and cheese.

I ran into the director of Operation Give Back at their booth at the Montgomery Farmer’s Market on Saturday. She said that they have been getting twice as many requests as usual as of late and are in need of items to keep their pantry stocked. They had a woman with two kids that called them late Friday in need of food. She asked the woman if she might be able to wait until this week, but she said that she really couldn’t. They were able to meet her there n Friday to get her some food.

If you would like to donate food items you can bring them when pick up cheesecakes or they can be dropped off any time at our house (6120 Donjoy Dr. In Blue Ash). Even if we are not home, you can leave them on the porch.

Here is a list of their most needed items (no glass jars, please)

-Canned fruit
-Canned chicken
-Boxed potatoes
-Ramen noodles
-Canned spaghetti sauce
-Boxed pasta
-Boxed cereal
-Mac n' cheese
-Canned black beans
-Condiments (mayonnaise, ketchup, BBQ sauce- plastic bottle)
-Cake mix and frosting
-Paper towels
-Kleenex
-Sandwich bags
-Cleaning products
-Feminine hygiene products
