Today I tried out something new on these facial bars. I loved them as simple as they were, loaded with skin-loving butters, mallow extract, and a delicate swirl, but decided to play around with salt and colored sugar. I’m not sure this look is for everyone, but I think it turned out pretty neat! Much like when painting with watercolor, the salt etches the soap while it dries, leaving some rough and natural looking craters before it’s brushed off. The colored sugar left gold divots.

Also, I made my goal for today to not walk by any mess without cleaning it up. I put my fitness watch on before this, obviously. I’m at 2,000 steps from just being in my kitchen.

Lastly, packing to take over to in soon! Trying not to obsess over my labels, but I’m kind of having a relationship with them. I can’t wait for the store to open - mostly so that I can shop other people’s goodies and see the work of other (far more) talented makers.

Oh, yeah - ONE more thing - forgot to mention that some classes are in the works, summer tween workshops, as well as an on-site location for candle parties!

Here in Ohio, we are in the thick of False Spring - aka, a thing that happens every year, but we tend to have a very selective memory about it . While our driveway gets dusted with snow once more, this gentleman and I will be taking a break. Exactly. Right. Here.

Saving all the shavings and putting them in the shop today! Offering a bag o’ soap shavings and a soap saver bag for $5. Seriously. What a cute gift. Only limited to a few per batch of soap, so get them while you can! This one is scented with our own “Happy Dance” blend. It’s, well, happy. And grapefruity and summery.

Trimming soap is so relaxing and satisfying. I’ll happily take that for today, along with today’s winter weather alert.

Labors of love. Finished these guys over the weekend, and they are everything I had envisioned. Funny when that works out, right?! These potted succulent candles are scented with our own sassy Zero Fox blend, and will be available in a handful of other scents. Premium finished tins offered in marble, wood, and glossy white patterns, any of them sure to complement anyone's decor. Too cute to burn? I'm with you there. They carry an ample amount of scent even when not lit, so feel free to give them a permanent seat on your counter or bedside table and coo affectionately at them as you do your other potted children.

Maybe it’s the weather, but my heart is exploding today! So, I thought I’d share a little sneak peek of these shimmery little wax melts I’ve been - lovingly - slaving over. Sometimes I wonder if it is worth it, knowing these guys will inevitably end up a puddle in someone’s wax burner, but that thought disappears just as quickly as it sneaks in. Not only do they smell amazing, they add a touch of “extra” when displayed on a dish next to your warmer.

Scent is Zero Fox, a blend created to imitate topknots and going twelve miles over the speed limit, with a bit of plumeria, champagne, vanilla, and oak. Can’t wait to stock our website with these lovelies, and many other things we’ve been hard at work creating.
