Last month I taught the Art of Permanent Locs to some amazing stylists and I got to cover an area most Permanent Loc Instructors miss:

Part to Loc ratio.

I'm unsure if it's because they don't know how to teach it or if it's because they weren't trained on it.

Here's the truth; part to loc ratio is one of the most important aspects of a properly executed permanent loc install. Without it, an install will be cute the first 1-2 months, then after month 3 i guarantee the client will be looking for someone to fix the issues going on.

I've seen it, I've corrected it tons of times. And that's why it must be taught and learned if a stylist desires to be a permanent loc specialist.
