Announcement!!!
As of yesterday, I am no longer accepting hair appointments. As I have announced earlier, we have our McDonough home listed for sale and we will be moving out of the area. I am still not sure where I will be living as we are still on our new home search. I would like to THANK all of my clients that I have had the opportunity to serve! You mean the world to me and I feel very honored to have had such a rewarding career! I will miss you all very much! Please keep in touch!! Call me anytime!!! Thank you for a wonderful 30 years!!!! What a bittersweet moment for me. With all my love and appreciation ~

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!

Good morning! The time has come that I am announcing we have listed our McDonough home for sale. Obviously I cannot be sure how quickly we will sell. We are currently looking to relocate to a small home on Lake Jackson.

If we sell before we find our new home we will be living in our North Carolina cabin full time until we find our new home. At that point I will be unable to continue working at the Mcdonough salon.

I am playing this timeline by ear and hope I can get a smooth transition without having to completely retire from doing hair...but I just don’t know the outcome yet.

I will continue to be at the salon one week a month for two days only, unless we sell quickly and have to move out and reside in North Carolina. I would like to recommend your still using
as your salon and If I cannot be available. I WILL make sure you receive a timely scheduled appointment. I highly recommend and trust all of these ladies to do an excellent job!

I appreciate all of my wonderful clients and hope timing on this adventure works out. Thank you for your business over the years! I thank you in advance for dealing with my crazy schedule!

Thank you Hannah Taylor for such an educational description about hair color! I am very proud to be working with such talented hair colorists at Studio G Mcdonough!

So this is interesting... the top left and bottom left pictures are from our awesome new customer. She had gone somewhere else and asked for her hair to be colored vibrant red copper. The first picture is what they did and the bottom left is how much it faded after 2 weeks. As hairstylist we love a picture for a reference on what your hair goals are. Sometimes, it may need to be done over a few sessions. However, when you show a picture, we promise to be as accurate in telling you what we can do. We don't know the exact color the stylist used on your hair model but, we can do our best to get as close as possible.
This beautiful lady asked for red copper and left with fire hot red. Now the red, in my opinion, was an awesome color. However, it's not at all what she asked for. We did our best to consult her and let her know the difference between temporary and permanent color. The last salon bleached her hair out then put a temporary hair color top. Because of this we told her that it is a possibility that the red will come out quicker than if we did the color on her natural hair color. Some people want to know every step we are doing and others don't care they just want it done! Now, the reason we are explaining this is so you can maintain your color as long as possible! The top faded so fast because it 1. It wasn't a permanent color. 2. She didn't use color care shampoos. (She did this on purpose because she wanted it to fade). 3. Reds and pastel colors are some of the quickest to fade out. So we went in and did a red copper permanent color and we were so happy that she loved it! Our main goal is to keep you happy with your healthy hair! To maintain the color she is using color safe shampoo. To keep it healthy we will continue to do conditioning treatments when she comes back for her touch up!
