Dead Smooth

In addition to trying Waffle House for the first time, this weekend had many firsts that have made my lil’ black heart feel so full. Not only did I attend my first beard competition, I also had the pleasure of being a judge, thanks to the Bearded Rejects.
Meeting so many faces that I’ve only ever seen on a screen, and making new friends I’d never typically cross paths with, was phenomenal. The amount of money raised for Fishing the Good Fight was amazing and I am so thankful to everyone who planned and organized this event. May this comp continue to grow and grow, and be something great to look forward to each year. 🖤
