As my love of nature grew.. so did my love of photography. I have created a page to share with all who enjoys the views through my eyes.
Give Sheryl Mayhew a camera in her hand and a wilderness path under her feet, and she's a blissful girl. A self-taught nature photographer, she's inspired by the raw, unfiltered, purest forms of the natural world. Spending hours in the fields of northern Illinois, she seeks to capture the beauty of the wild. Birds of prey, flora and fauna, old barns and structures, rivers, streams, sunrises, and sunsets. She volunteers at the McHenry County Conservation Resource Wildlife Center. Her other hobbies include: camping, hiking, birding, and most anything outdoors. She's the grounds keeper of her own personal zoo, and is a proud, single-mother hen to three beautiful chicks. A search is underway this weekend for a man who has been missing for six weeks and police say he is not familiar with the Chicago area.
Chicago police say 34-year-old Ariel Childress has been missing since June 15 and may be confused.
