People always ask where the name Cove51 came from.

Today would’ve been my dad’s 75th birthday. We lost him nearly 20 years ago, but this space was named in honor of him and the life he gave us.

“51” is the year he was born. I was raised in Southern California by a surfer dad (who loved The Cars and The Beach Boys), and some of my best memories were made at the beach with my family. He always reminded us to enjoy those little moments together. That’s the feeling I had when I created Cove51, inspired by home, simplicity, and the people who shaped me.

Then there’s the ‘Cove.’ To me, a cove has always been a safe harbor from the open ocean. I wanted to build a space that feels exactly like that. I know how rare it is to find a moment just for you, so we created this as an escape from the noise of everyday life.

And ironically… if you flip the numbers to 15, that’s how many kids my parents had 😂

So Cove51 became a little slice of paradise… slowing down, childhood beach memories and a way to keep my dad’s memory close every single day. 🤍
