This morning I am celebrating and reflecting on the life of a dear client who we lost a few months ago. We started working together almost 10 years ago when my son was an infant. We worked together on and off over the years and every time she’d ask how the family was doing and always loved seeing photos. Another baby arrived for me and we continued updating pieces around her home here and there. She gave my kids books and teddy bears. She always remembered what the latest update had been and looked forward to hearing how Wyatt was doing in baseball and how much Charlotte loves reading the sunflower book she gave her.

She was a master at gardening. Every time we’d meet I was sure to leave extra time in my schedule to talk about what she was up to in her flower beds and how mine would never live up to the beauty she created.

She had a deep appreciation for textiles and talked about how she wanted to study textile design in school. Bolts of fabric she had held on to for decades we finally put use to in recent years. It was always a joy creating beauty along side of her.

I will miss SJB dearly and will never forget the last visit I had with her two weeks before she passed. She had my half and half ready for her husband to serve me coffee although she couldn’t stand. We talked about gardening and the kids one last time. 🪻🌸🌷🌻

The stainless steel hood over this range is “off the shelf” but with local metal fabricators we jazzed it up to create a two-tone metal design with straps and rivets. We love collaborating with our trades to come up with details to add these custom touches.
