She was over the blonde so we dove straight into 🤠🧡
Using all Wella Color, I filled with Wella CT 6/47 + 9/3 with 1.9% and then I applied Wella KP 6/74 + 6/41 with 4% (13 volume) on her roots and same formula with 20 volume on her mids/ends. Applied like a virgin color application to get even color saturation root to tip!
Trimmed up her curtainbangs and gave her a Texas size blowout so she’s ready for dinner with friends after! 😉🤠💪🏻

Hello all you beautiful babes 💜

I have some exciting news to share! After 9 years on my own, I’ve decided to close my private studio and transition back into a beautiful commission salon right here in Tysons Corner, Virginia.

I’ll be moving just across the street to a stunning space located in The Boro Tysons, directly across from Whole Foods Market — The salon is called Colour Bar Studio.

As I close my studio through the end of March, all existing appointments will be transitioned to the new salon location. Pricing will remain in the same range as my studio services.

This move allows me to continue growing as a stylist, collaborate in a creative environment, and stay deeply committed to continuing education — all so I can keep bringing you the absolute best in color, extensions, and luxury services.

This decision came rather fast, made within the last week or two, as I found a beautiful salon with a fantastic support system, and the Salon team is a group of superb colorists and hairdressers. When the support staff and the Salon staff are great, then all I have to do is show up and do great hair, which is all I want to do! I can’t emphasize this enough.

I truly hope you’ll continue this next chapter with me. Your loyalty and support mean everything, and I’m so excited to welcome you into this beautiful new space.

I’d also love to welcome back, with open arms and an open heart, any clients that maybe didn’t find the studio a good fit for them. I’d love to have you come see me thrive in a salon with great support. No hard feelings just great Hair!

Thank you for all your support in the 9 glorious years that I got to do it all on my own. What a wild ride that was through a pandemic and all of the aftermath, but I am so happy to close this chapter and open up the next chapter in my career. If you think I can create beautiful hair in a studio by myself, you should come see what I can do when I have the support I need and all I have to do is focus on hair! 💜

Why am I proud of this photo?
This Client sent me many clients over the years simply by word of mouth (or the more popular, at the lacrosse field at her kids games!) and I quickly learned how verbal confirmation can spread like WILDFIRE. Fast forward to a post pandemic industry with a social media/influencer boom, feeling defeated with a small business barely surviving an unimaginable, unplanned situation.. I look back at these photos and it’s a reminder that I DO in fact have the skills and the mindset to rise above the negativity online. I’ve been doing hair for 20 years and I will continue to do hair for 20+ more! This photo reminds me that social media isn’t real and clients in your hair is REAL LIFE. I have a few photos I’m proud of but this one I’m proud of because of who I was back then and what that client meant to me. Even though the pandemic made us part ways, she was the best client and brought me so much joy to have in my chair. My cosmo teacher told me “don’t focus on the money, focus on the client in your chair and the money will come to you.” Post pandemic in this industry is hard but I know I built up my business once before so I know I can do it again.
