15 years ago today, I lost my best friend, Carissa.

Most of you know me as the owner of Lush Lash & Brow, but what you probably don’t know is… none of this would’ve happened without her.

She was the one who pushed me to enroll at Aveda. She was the reason I packed up my life and moved to North Carolina. She stood beside me through years of long days, impossible clients, and a job that we constantly joked about surviving together. She believed in me long before I ever believed in myself.

Every step that eventually led me to opening Lush Lash & Brow started because of her.

She never got to see this little dream become reality, but I hope somehow she knows that she’s still the heart behind it. Every client, every milestone, every life I’ve been lucky enough to touch through this business exists because she first believed I could.🥹
