I don’t exactly look like this right this moment, but hey… this is the goal we’re working our way back to 😉

Some of you know a little, some of you know everything… and some of you don’t have a clue. And that’s okay—I wanted to keep it that way for as long as I could.

I’ll keep this as short and sweet as possible (you know I can’t promise that lol)…
About 7 years ago I was diagnosed with colon cancer, and 6 years ago it made an unwanted comeback. Since then, I’ve been working my tail off to get rid of it. We’re not there just yet—but we are trying new things.

Most recently, I went through radiation… and whew 🥴 it kicked my ass. Literally. I’ve lost some weight, some energy, and had to learn to slow down a bit.

So to my June clients—thank you for loving me through it and rolling with me sitting more than usual 🫶🏼 We’re making progress though!!

I’ve stepped back from bartending for now and shortened my days behind the chair so I can actually listen to my body when it says “girl… sit down” 😂

This week has been my BEST energy-wise, and I’m so relieved to finally feel a little more like myself again. I just didn’t want anyone walking in surprised—I promise I feel better than I look 🤣

All that to say… I’m okay 💛
(and also… I’m never doing radiation again lol)

I don’t think I’ve ever really shared this…

Why I’m behind the chair.
Why I care so much about making women feel beautiful.

For the first 10 years of my life, I thought I’d be a nurse like my mom.
Turns out… that wasn’t my path.

My path started a lot earlier than that.

I was the little girl with a buzz cut.
The one who got made fun of for “looking like a boy.”
And it wasn’t just kids… adults stared too.
It wasn’t a buzz cut, it was new growth after killin cancer.

So I learned really young what it felt like to not feel pretty.
To not feel seen the way you want to be.

Somewhere around middle school, I knew one thing for sure
I wanted to make people feel good. I just didn’t know how yet.

Fast forward to cosmetology school and years behind the chair…
and I found exactly where I’m meant to be.

I’ve had the honor of sitting with women in some of their most vulnerable moments.
First haircuts after treatment.
Holding space. Wiping tears.
Being part of their starting over.

And somewhere along the way…
we’ve healed pieces of each other.

This is so much more than hair to me.
Always has been. Always will be. 💛

Life is lifin… bills are billing… stress is stressing…
