If it’s dead, cut it ✂️✂️✂️✂️

It’s been a whirlwind and still doesn’t feel real. I’m devastated, sad, angry…but now that I’ve had a minute to collect my thoughts. Here goes…

Late Wednesday night, our livelihood was taken from us by a drunk driver. 💔 Our dream salon, our BEAUTIFUL space, our “we want you to feel at home type of atmosphere”, the place we built together, was hit and our doors are temporarily closed.

I’ve worked alongside these women for almost two decades. We’ve built more than just a salon together—we’ve built a family, a business, and a dream that means so much to all of us. To have that taken away in a matter of seconds is something I don’t even have the words for.

Even though I haven’t been able to respond to everyone, please know I have read EVERY message. Every text, comment, share, donation, and offer to help has meant more than you know. I am completely overwhelmed by the love and support surrounding us.

I’m especially blown away by the local salon owners who don’t even know us, yet immediately opened their doors and said, “We have space for you here if you need it.” That kind of kindness during one of the hardest moments is something we will never forget.

The amazing women we have in our life that showed up on the scene Wednesday night, brought us food and coffee, started making plans for rebuild and told us “don’t worry, we got this”, helped us clean up, move out and into our temporary new home to do hair.

And in true fire brotherhood fashion, the guys showed up and asked, “What can we do?” ❤️ That’s what community is all about.

We are so incredibly blessed.

We may have lost our physical space, but we haven’t lost our family, our passion, or our dream. We WILL rebuild.
