Meet Shannon Galpin, NP 🤎
We’re excited to officially introduce Shannon Galpin, NP with OnePeak Medical, and share more about our partnership in bringing a more comprehensive approach to hair restoration to our clients.
Shannon specializes in functional medicine with a focus on hormones and weight management—two areas where she often works with patients experiencing changes in their hair. From hormonal changes during peri- and post-menopause to shedding associated with significant weight loss, she understands that hair loss can be about so much more than what we see on the surface.
That shared philosophy is exactly why this partnership made sense.
Together, we’re able to look beyond hair loss alone and create a more complete pathway to restoration—combining Shannon’s medical expertise and PRP hair restoration at OnePeak Medical with the scalp-focused treatments and ongoing support we provide at Pearl & Root.
Because hair restoration isn’t just about growing hair. It’s about understanding why it’s happening, supporting the scalp and body, and helping our clients feel more like themselves again.

This weekend we had a training day at Pearl & Root Academy 🤍
We had two lovely students travel from Albany and Sherwood to spend the day with us for our hands-on Head Spa Academy training.
Our training days are a mix of education + real experience. We start with book work covering the foundations behind the service, scalp and hair knowledge, client experience, setup, sanitation, products, equipment, and the business side of bringing head spa services into your own space — including marketing, positioning your service, and how to actually start getting it in front of the right clients.
Then we move into hands-on training, where our students get to experience the service themselves before working through the techniques step by step on live models with us there to guide them.
Our goal isn’t to send students home knowing how to simply follow a routine — we want them to understand why they’re doing each step, feel confident behind the basin, and leave with a foundation they can actually build on.
And of course, we finished the day by celebrating two new Pearl & Root Academy graduates with their certificates of completion. 🥹✨
We’re so grateful they chose to make the trip to Medford and trust us with their education.
