In this new episode of iCantCU, I share audio from my visit to Meta Labs NYC, where I tested the Ray-Ban Meta Display Smart Glasses as a blind user. I talk candidly about what worked, what didn’t, and why hands-free navigation, open-ear audio, and live translation could be powerful tools for independence—if accessibility keeps improving. I also reflect on real-world travel challenges, accessibility etiquette, and navigating crowded NYC streets during the holidays. This episode blends tech review, lived experience, and honest questions about where smart glasses fit into the future of accessibility.

“Why My Picture Might Be Hanging at the Train Station” — that’s the title of the latest I Can’t See You podcast episode, and trust me, it’s well earned. 😅

I recap the 2025 NFB of Pennsylvania State Convention, where I served as chair — from Family Feud and fundraising wins to great hotel staff and awesome volunteers like my daughter Jane. Of course, it wouldn’t be a trip without some travel misadventures: confusing directions, pitch-black stations, and rideshare delays that tested every ounce of patience.

If you want a behind-the-scenes look at blind travel and big event planning, this one’s for you. Thanks for listening and supporting the show!

New video on YouTube
My Annual Advocacy Adventure in D.C. 🎙️🏛️
Every year, I head to Washington, D.C., for the NFB Washington Seminar to advocate for accessibility and protect hard-won rights like those under the ADA. This year, I met with congressional staff and even had a one-on-one with Senator McCormick.
Of course, no trip is complete without a few travel mishaps—almost getting on the wrong train, a taxi driver who didn’t realize I was there, and my much-anticipated mac and cheese that I couldn’t even taste!
Even with the hurdles, advocacy matters. Watch my full recap on YouTube! 🎥👇
