Why I Don’t Work on Wigs Made Elsewhere💇🏻‍♀️
I truly understand how disappointing and frustrating this policy can feel—especially if you already have a wig you love and were hoping I could adjust, color, or repair it. Please know this boundary isn’t about your wig, your previous designer, or where you purchased from. It’s simply about safety, honesty, and protecting your investment.
When a wig comes from another vendor, there are many things I can’t reliably know, such as:
What type and quality of hair was used
Whether the hair is genuinely cuticle-aligned (non–cuticle-aligned hair can cause severe matting and root tangling)
Which dyes, chemicals, or treatments were used before (for example, textile dyes often won’t accept professional color and can react in unpredictable ways)
Because of these unknowns, even careful, professional work can lead to damage, tangling, or unexpected color results—and I never want to put you in the position of having your wig ruined or feeling like you weren’t protected.
This is not a reflection on your previous wig designer or vendor; it’s simply a professional boundary I keep so I can stand behind the quality and safety of everything I touch. For that reason, I only offer color, repair, and restyling services on wigs that I have personally sourced and designed.
To still support you as much as I can, I offer lots of washing and styling videos to help you care for and style your existing wigs at home, step by step

Sunday fun day! No, really🕺 Sundays are my most favorite day. My house is super quiet and I can completely focus on coloring, styling ,ventilating and preparing my Wigs for the week.

I wanted to share something that I think a lot of people don’t know about, and could help with the cost of your Wig
So first things first — I am not an insurance expert, this is just for informational purposes, and I can’t guarantee any coverage. Every plan is different! But I do think it’s an excellent option you might want to explore.
A lot of insurance companies actually offer some coverage for wigs — which are often referred to as cranial prosthetics in the insurance world.
And here’s the part that surprises most people — it’s not just for cancer treatment. Many plans will cover wigs for a number of medical diagnoses, including things like alopecia and other medical conditions that cause hair loss.
So here’s what I recommend before your consultation with us:
👉 Call your insurance company and simply ask them about potential coverage for a cranial prosthetic. It’s worth the 10 minute phone call! Ask them if your particular plan offers a Wig or cranial prosthetic benefit.
