Quick and Easy Ombre Builder Gel Tutorial

We demonstrate a simple ombre builder gel technique, starting with nail prep, bonding, and base application. We use Milky White Number Two and Color Number Three from Phoenix, applying white on 70% of the nail and pink at the cuticle, then flash curing to reduce heat. After wiping off the sticky layer, we refile and apply top coat for a clean, beautiful finish.

Is Dual Form really faster than Acrylic? 👀

Yes and no. It depends on the nail tech’s skill, experience, and technique. Dual forms can save time on shaping and filing, but sizing, product control, placement, and cleanup still take practice.

My answer: YES… and NO.

Dual Forms can definitely cut down your service time because you’re creating the length, shape, and structure at the same time.

But 20 minutes doesn’t happen just because you switch to Dual Forms.

It comes from:
✨ Using the right amount of product
✨ Choosing the right size and shape
✨ Placing the form correctly
✨ Controlling overflow before curing
✨ Minimizing filing and reshaping
✨ And most importantly… PRACTICE.

If you’re a beginner and it takes you an hour or longer, that’s completely normal. Focus on clean application first. Speed comes naturally when your technique becomes consistent.

So yes, 20 minutes is possible… but technique comes before the timer. 💅

Improper prep is the #1 reason it lifts, peels, or cracks in days — not weeks. Gel needs a clean, oil-free, slightly rough surface to actually grab onto.
