She was ready something lower maintenance so I went in with a color matched lowlight to her natural root, low lighted and used her existed blonde to work as our baby lights. There are NO highlights in this entire process - only lowlights matching her natural color.

When my clients ask what size iron to get, I always ask what the final result is that they’re looking for. It totally depends on your hair length and density but for an easy reference: 1 full rotation will give you a wave. If you want curl, the hair must wrap around the around 2 times. The more you know 💫🌈

POV: you know your client better than she knows herself ✂️

This was our guest Kristen’s first time at Chroma - she was looking for a lower maintenance color but still wanted grey blending and brightness around her face. We shifted from a permanent root color and traditional highlight into a demi base, brought it down into a soft shadow root and added a soft face frame and baby lights throughout the Mohawk, crown and nape. This should give her a softer grow out and lower maintenance blonde once her natural root starts to grow in. We also took off about 2 inches of length and blended in her layers 💖
