Farewell to George Anicet Ekane
Today we mourn a true Cameroonian hero.
George Anicet Ekane, 74, a man who chose integrity over comfort and justice over silence, has left us—after his arrest on October 24, 2025, during post-election tensions, and his tragic passing in detention.
He could have taken the easy path, accepted the bribes, and walked away. But he chose to fight—for democracy, for truth, for the generations coming after us. His courage was his compass, his conviction his shield.
To his family and to MANIDEM, we extend our deepest condolences. Cameroon stands with you in this moment of pain.
Ekane’s voice may be gone, but his legacy will never fade.
He leaves us a flame of bravery, a lesson in determination, a dream of a freer, fairer nation.
Rest in power, George Anicet Ekane.
A warrior in life.
A legend in memory.
I applaud President William Ruto of Kenya for his powerful speech at the UNGA and his bold call for reforms.
His demand for Africa to have a permanent seat on the global stage reflects the continent’s rightful place in shaping the future of our world

"There is no such thing as a public personality split in two: on one side the politician, on the other the Christian. No.
There is the politician who, under God’s gaze and in conscience, lives his commitments and responsibilities as a Christian."

Breaking News (with a splash of satire):
Ugandan Police Hunt Kenyan Cameraman for Presidential Close-Up
Authorities in Uganda have launched a serious manhunt for a Kenyan cameraman who dared to snap a close-range photo of President Museveni — without security clearance, without zooming from afar, and worst of all… without blurring the forehead.
Sources say the cameraman is armed with a Canon, highly trained in manual focus, and last seen escaping with high-resolution confidence.
The public is advised to avoid looking too sharp in public, especially when President Museveni is around. Wearing sunglasses and pretending to take selfies with old Nokia phones is strongly encouraged until further notice.
Stay blurry. Stay safe. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
During a diplomatic meeting,
President Trump appeared genuinely surprised and impressed by the Liberian President’s fluent English, remarking with a hint of amazement, “You speak such good English!” — a moment that sparked smiles and underscored the often-overlooked global reach of the English language, especially in
West Africa where Liberia holds deep historical ties to the United States.
